There's a multi storey right next to it but unless you go really early it's always rammed and there's people and cars all over the road leading into it. IIRC it's £5 to park there. If you're lucky you might be able to get parked on the road next to it (where the Skoda dealership is) but there's usually cars in every available inch of space.
I find it's better to park in Grainger Town multi storey, it's a lot less stressful! It's about a 7 minute walk from there. I think it's free after 5pm and there's always loads of spaces. You do have to walk past some pubs and clubs right next to the car park but I've never had any bother - there's usually a few people going there who've been to the arena afterwards if you're worried about it. |

The large car park right round the back of the venue has many spaces and costs about £5-£6.

The official car park will start to fill up early on but depends on the event I guess. Normally a hell of a wait to in & out.
Next to the arena there is a multi story like AnywhereButHome mentions. But this will also leave you waiting for 30mins or more depending on which floor on the way out. You can drive up to the arena and follow the signs for 'Arena Car Park' its not the official one but I guess cheaper. Sometimes it's less stressful and less of a wait just parking in the city and walking down, hardly much of a walk really. Most of the parking is free after 5pm in Newcastle http://www.get-into-newcastle.co.uk/getting-around.aspx like AnywhereButHome says, parking in Grainger Town is your best bet and walking down to the arena. You will walk past Akbars Indian restaurant, cross the road and walk down past a pub called 'The Dog', keep going down that road, You will see the centre of life on your left, keep going and at the very bottom turn right. You will walk past the multi story mentioned. You're basically there, the walk will be about 7mins I guess! |
