The brass sections remind me for some reason of Van Morrison's 'Bright Side Of The Road'.

I pretty much like or love all of Beyonce's songs, but to me, this song is in another league. Truly exceptional.

The best r&b song in along time because bey had been using alot of pop for awhile and I dont think pop ain't really her style or even the songs on the radio that people are hearing too

Is it eligible for Grammys 2013? Cause I can really see it getting best RnB vocal performance if not

It's derivative and reparative but I still like it a lot. I think she over-sings it but the song has a nice melody and she sings the verses so well that I can over look the screaming. So it has a lot of flaws but still manages to be a good song IMO.

My favourite Beyonce song in ages. Some take a couple of listens but this one i loved instantly!
I do wish they hadn't cut the second verse from the music video though |

Agreed. I love the experimentality. I want more LOTs, End of times and Countdowns from her. I love Schoolin life too.

It's not screaming! It's belting and it requires so much skill to sing this song! Requires brilliant pitch and breath control to keep belting for so long through key changes and at that pace! The song is brilliant and so is the construction of the song. Such a breath of fresh air with all the over produced stuff in the charts.

Definitely my favourite Beyonce song. I loved it as soon as I heard it on '4'. Best on the album for sure for me along with Party and End of Time.

See Beyonce, this is the gem that happens when you actually use your voice and sing a song that has an actual melody to it and keep your clothes on. I love the old school feel to this song. It's a song that's a singer's song, I can easily picture a song of this calibre being in an early Mariah album.

It was actually one of my least faves when I first heard the album but since it became a single I now love it.
