Where have I been ... I've not heard about all these shenanigans!!
![]() Didn't realise that Emma and Jamie had split, let alone a Jamie/Hayley affair. ![]() Now surely there is nothing going on between Emma and Catt. ![]() As for the interviews afterwards, I have seen Emma interview Jamie very recently, he never looked at her and mumbled his reply, however I didn't think anything of it as he is always like that. ![]() Have never liked the bloke anyway and could never understand how Emma could put up with such a miserable man with no personality ...... now I find that is just the kind of chap that Hayley likes, poor girl!!! ![]() The off screen goings on are SO much more exciting than the on screen. ![]() ![]() |

Low key exit for Cattermole. Professional to the end, 100% focussed on the racing to the point that he looked a little bit embarrassed when Emma even touched upon the fact that it was his last show. Quote:
Does Emma still refuse to interview Jamie and Hayley Turner or has the whole affair situation been sorted. I don't watch when they do the interviews afterwards so have not seen if she now does this.

I would wager those are the winnings not his earnings. Jockeys get a small % of that

C4 have to keep Carl Davis Champions theme for the Grand National they would be mad to get rid off such a great theme. Makes the hairs on the back off my neck stand up.
Edit. listening to it now. wow! Oh the tears. Can't believe it wont be on the beeb any more! Sad. The news is only now sinking in. I need to go and cry somewhere alone for a few hours! ![]() Ken |

Help and Contact details are on page Text on 4 page 458.[/LIST] 2 - Useful for finding out the results because of Answer 1 3 - When you find the results page, it's ok I suppose. Just wish they would put the n/r's on the same page as the race they were supposed to be in, rather than huddled together like a self-help group on page 4, just above a distracting advert for Paddy Power or Willie Hill.. 4 - It's there if I need it. |

Yesterday the sun set on Mike Cattermole's C4 career - his words - after 14 years, thanking Highflyer (outgoing production company) amongst others. Did anyone catch him accidentally mention "ATR" during yesterday's C4 coverage?
He's getting married the week after next, a first-time groom at the age of 51. All the best for the future Catt! |

See link for more info on C4 coverage:
- Feature race at 3.50pm each Saturday to fit football half-time (Except Grand National and Derby which are later and mid winter due to daylight) - 88 days in 2013 - Negotiations continuing re Arc and Dubai World Cup - Morning Line also on weekdays during Royal Ascot, Cheltenham and Aintree - Slimming down number of courses (no more or at least reduction in 3 course weekends) http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2012...g-new-era-2013 |

So the smaller courses now won't get a look in and in July it will be Newmarket, Newmarket Newmarket.
Also why should Channel 4 dictate the time of races there are two dedicated channels who might want a say in the times of the races too. |

Racing in the UK has major questions in front of it to make it more relevant to people outside of the old men putting on their daily 10p Lucky 15s. If moving a race to a time to suit TV is one of those things, so be it. In the grand scheme of things, it really doesn't matter. |

It does the owners of RUK and ATR they want people watching their channels not Channel 4 and therefore they have a right to be treated equally not discriminated against because Channel 4 has a higher viewing audience.

Why on earth would ATR or Racing UK object anyway?
It doesn't inconvenience them at all because they are covering racing all of the time anyway and so slight adjustments to race times here and there is a non-issue. Anything which boosts the profile of racing (which this might) can only be a good thing for specialist racing channels. Indeed Racing UK often advertise their services during C4 Racing and The Morning Line. |

One thing I do hope C4 do, as regards the Derby, Grand National, Royal Ascot and Champions Day, is to give those big meetings stand-alone coverage without having to go away to cover other races from another meeting, as this dilutes the coverage of those special meetings. |

Derby: Can easily cover another meeting (two scoop 6 races) and still have a full build up (30 mins after wrap up of previous Epsom race).
Royal Ascot: Diamond Jubilee Saturday same as Derby, other days will be exclusive. Champion's Day: Should definitely take another meeting, have Champions Stakes as feature race. Grand National: Undercard good enough, field for big race large enough, public interest great enough for exclusive coverage. |

I thought the BBC had finished covering horse racing but I see Chepstow is on the BBC over Christmas.
