AV2HDR Windows 7 64 bit

Hi All

I'm getting a bit desparate. I have just upgraded to a new PC running Windows 7 64 bit. I have tried downloading Raydon's AV2HDR, but Windows says that AV2HDR has stopped working and nothing seems to get it going.

I hope that you can help as I do a lot of video transfers to the Humax. Is there any way I can get the program to work again?

Any help you can offer will be gratefully received

Thank in advance

Robert

It needs Microsofts net framework installed.

av2hdr is IMHO impressive but pointless.

what exactly is it that you are trying to convert? what is it that you are trying to transfer?

with respect of the common downloads it plays xvids. (or my t2 does) and will play the HD MKVs if you remux them into MP4. takes seconds.

and whilst i'm at it, Super C has it's charms but is well out of date now. mediacoder is much better an much more multithreaded.

Repassac, many thanks, I'll try that.

@ Flagpole. I use my movie camera to make films and then I edit/render them on my PC as m2ts files. With AV2HDR I can tranfer them wirelessly to my Humax for storage and watching on my TV. As far as I am aware I need AV2HD to create the .HTM files etc that are necessary for the Humax to play them.

If you know another way to achieve this, please let me know.

Many thanks

Robert

AV2HDR is for the Foxsat-hdr which won't play any external video without the utility. AV2HDR-T2 isn't pointless either as it bestows the chapter thumbnails and navigation capability that you get with a standard recording and very handy for porting recordings from a Foxsat-hdr to a HD/HDR FOX T2.

Has the op tried running AV2HDR in compatibliity mode (assuming of course Net Framework doesn't solve the problem).

Graham, thanks for the suggestion.

Net framework has made no difference and the compatability program in Win 7 didn't work either.

Does this mean I will no longer be able to watch my films on the TV via the Humax?

Hi
Link works for me, I was wondering about the version of Net Framework and here is a quote from the above link

"Are you using Windows 7 64 bit? , that file is for 64bit , also which version of .Net have you got. Mine is 3.5.1 and av2hdr works fine on mine (64bit)
I will fire up my 32 bit version and try that too.... Yep works fine on there too. When you select file import video does it show the video info? Also have you selected a File / Output Folder"

Hope this helps you. I've got Windows 7 64 bit and if you are still having trouble I'll try it here, as I understand it Windows 7 comes with a version of Net Framework but some programs seem to like a specific version. Good luck.

Just tried it and it worked straight out of the box, I may have installed a version of Net Framework for another program (Cuttermaran) but not sure.

It's not an anti-virus program causing the problem?

Andrew, thank you so much. This time, as you say, it worked straight out of the box.

Thanks to all

So it's all working? If so that's great.

What was it causing the problem?

If you know of any other way to import non native video for playback on the Foxsat HDR then I will bow to your humble opinion.
