I've tried all world cuisines ...French, Italian, Indian, Arabic/Middle Eastern, Mexican, Chinese, Thai, Japanese and out of all I think Indian cuisine/dishes still has the strongest overall flavour & texture.

What are your thoughts?

Depends on the recipe and the proficiency of the person making it.

Try authentic Indonesian cuisine. Spicy with enormous depth of flavour, without being overpoweringly hot.

English food was orginally very spicy. It was to hide the lack of refrigeration and poor quality meat. We have the Normans to thank for bringing spices to England.

Vietnamese, Indonesian and Malay are my favourites.

I make my own recipes.

Not the most flavourful, imo. It's probably the most spicy, but that's not the same.

Med food has a wide variety of flavours going on.

I think Italian food takes that title.

I'm talking about genuine, homecooked stuff- the kind people call "peasant" food.

It's delicious and flavoursome (especially if a few days old, when the herbs have had time to well and truly infuse)

Depends entirely on the person and their taste, as I can't stand Indian food so for my own tastes I would say NO

Spiciest, possibly, although Szechuan is spicier (but quite rare in the UK). It's not the most flavourful in my opinion, don't think you can beat Modern British for flavour.

I do like Indian food but for sheer pleasure it has to be Italian for me.

good food is flavourful

last night we had

a salmon steak, a M&S leek and potato bake, and some mixed mangetout and sugarsnap peas.

full of flavour, and absolutely lovely. curries are often just hot sauce disguising relatively poor ingredients, and also do not include enough veg. I like them well enough, but it would be wrong to ignore traditional "british" food.

Indian food usually has a strong flavour but the chillies, ginger etc tend to hide any subtlety. Vietnamese (in Vietnam) is the best I've eaten, but more to do with the freshness than the ingredients. British food can be great but the subtle use of herbs can be missed by people used to spicy food.

Modern British is being cooked all over the UK. We have some amazing restaurants in this country being run by brilliant British chefs.

I would agree but it can be too heavily spiced at times, is this what you mean by strongest flavour. Casa Mia Cafe in Leeds make great Italian Cuisine their Arabiata pasta sauce is to die for. The pasta dishes are absolutely delicious and the food is better than what i've had in any other restaurant in Italy and here in the UK. I like Thai cooking as the flavours are very diverse compared to Indian cooking.

The most flavorful food I've eaten was a Beef Rendang curry.

This might sound odd, but it was almost TOO tasty for me; quite dry and very intense.

I still finished it though.
