Was told by my mate, from Belfast, that Rangers supporters did, indeed, think this was very noble indeed. So did he

I have tried to explain the 'real' situation to him but he just doesn't get it .

Unbelievable. The way the media report it is shocking. they make it sound like rangers are prepared to do everyone else a favour.

Laughable considering rangers went to court to argue that the sfa had no legal right to pass punishments which are not stated in the rule book.

The reality is rangers are now extremely worried that suspension is on the cards. They really didn't think this through.

This is just another example of rangers thinking they can make there own rules as rules for everyone else don't apply to them.

The likes of ogilvie and gordan smith beforehand can't save them now.

Charlie Green releases statement saying that Rangers aren't happy with the CoS only referring the decision back to the appeals panel, also says that termination or suspension would be a disaster for his plans for The Rangers and explusion from the SC would have a severe impact on Scottish Football.

They are still deciding whether to appeal.

The latest from Mr green:

Quote:
“"Equally, the alternative sanction of expulsion from the Scottish Cup is itself a very serious punishment which would also have a severe impact on Scottish football as well as on our Club”

.

I guess just a slap on the wrist will do. Rangers didn't give a damn about Scottish football when they were cheating and not paying the debts.

Those associated with rangers football club really do believe the rules don't apply to them. They agree they should be punished but they want to decide the punishment.

I dare them to return to CoS to appeal the decision from highly qualified people for the third time - a QC, Supreme Court judge and now a CoS judge have all made the wrong decision????

Nah, more like they know they're in the shitter.

According to the BBC the SC ban may not be available as a sanction as next season is yet to start.

So getting the case referred back to the appeal tribunal isn't enough they feel it should go back to the original tribunal.

I'm still waiting for some humility.

Green says they had no choice to go the CoS due to the sfa not allowing the club to go the court of arbitration for sport
Quote:
“133.3.6 Decisions of the Appeals Board
The decision of the Appeals Board shall be final and binding on all parties concerned subject to the arbitration procedure which may be available to the appellant to the Court of Arbitration for Sport. However, in relation to any matters concerning National Club Licensing or the National Club Licensing
Procedures, the decision of the Appeals Board shall be final and binding on all parties concerned”

.

Doesn't that say otherwise?

Good luck with that.

Going to CAS was an option to Rangers, just ask Caley Thistle.

Pretty sure FIFA statues supersede SFA articles when an issue is there.

Why is green speaking for rangers when he doesn't even own the club?

I'm totally amazed at this as well. Surprised that everyone - Press included - have once again just gone with the flow.

It is beyond comprehension

Purely a guess on my part but I wonder if there is an assistant manager's job going at Villa.

"In a swift response to Rangers' statement, the SFA issued one of its own on Sunday evening.
Quote:
“It read: "Referring the matter to the Court of Session, Rangers FC utilised the court's right of Supervisory Jurisdiction contained within Scots Law.

"Given that any two parties can seek arbitration, the club was not 'prohibited from appealing to the Court of Arbitration for Sport', as was claimed.

"Indeed, no representation was made by the club to the Scottish FA to discuss the possibility or the process of seeking arbitration via the Court of Arbitration for Sport before Judicial Review was actioned." "”

Rangers lying?

So guess we will know by Fri, what the SFA are going to do with Rangers, and if they dont do enough to please FIFA

FIFA will take over, and dish out a punishment, which guessing will be the SFA thrown out, or more likely our clubs out of European football, and scot out of the world cup qulaifier

On another note, so far we havent heard anything from UEFA about, Scot, Wales, and NI hosting Euro 2020, will we be allowed to bid at all

Interesting point. Did UEFA not ask these countries to put a bid in?

Seems Alan Thompson has been sacked and not left of his own accord.

He has apparently be given numerous warnings about his behaviour since being banned for drink driving.
