The foot is in front. Hence diving forward causes him to connect with the foot.
Explain to me how, in this particular situation, Stokes could 'dive' forward and make contact with a foot.

Bearing in mind the word that you have used is dive.

"Someone appeared to dive" and "contact could be brought about by (same) someone diving" are not mutually exclusive statements.
So if Stokes "appeared" to dive, as you have previously said, then you will be of the opinion that Stokes "did" cause the contact. Correct?

It's incredibly simple - he dives forward and in the process of going down, he makes contact with the foot.

If it were possible, I'd happily demonstrate.

If he did dive, he caused the contact.

So he dives forward, without being touched, and in doing so he makes contact with a foot? Honestly? In this particular case? Honestly?

Hahahaha!

edit Oh, and just in case everyone is wondering, here is the picture of the 'dive' (def. to fall head down through the air) that caused the contact with the foot http://oi43.tinypic.com/o1jdw.jpg

Er, yes, that's what a dive is.

I'm glad you're finding a source of amusement, but quite what is difficult to understand would elude even the most educated on this planet.

I See some people on RM are claiming Brian Kennedy is the preferred bidder.

I don't know much about him apart reading about his time with Stockport so done a bit of digging and came up with some fairly eye watering stuff. Of course the truth could be being stretched with a lot of it and some other parts could be rubbish but it's interesting anyway.

The only problem with that explanation is this picture.

If he did dive, he caused the contact.
Hurrah, we got there in the end! So you are now willing to agree that if he dived then Stokes "did" cause the contact and not "could" have cause the contact?

I've never denied that.

Civil war breaking out over the planned changes to the voting structure without using the current voting structure to vote it through.

<click> Hello, Blue Sq?, there may be a football club in Glasgow looking to play in your league next season.

In no way whatsoever in that picture, where contact is shown to be taking place, is Stokes "diving" forward.

I've never denied that.
Really, then why were you going on about "could" have instead of just saying if he dived he "did" cause the contact for so long then?

The position of his legs suggests different.

As I said, a statement with "could" and a statement with "appeared" are not mutually exclusive.

Now that would be ironic!

Even more ironic than clubs complaining about the existing voting structure when they agreed to it in the first place.

Oh dear, a not so 'attempted' insult.

What I find amusing is your attempt to suggest that this http://oi43.tinypic.com/o1jdw.jpg is a dive.

Now perhaps you will explain in what way that this http://oi43.tinypic.com/o1jdw.jpg is a dive.

Then you will be able to explain it again quite easily.

Ki gets a basic salary, performance bonuses and probably image rights in his contract - something this clown thinks is dodgy.

St Mirren 0-2 Hearts

Congrats to Bhoy07 who predicted a 2-0 Jam Tarts win and he scores 5 points, Celt1987 and Caltonfan predicted a Hearts win in 90 mins and score 2 points.

Table:
Celt1987 – 64
Pedrok – 60.5
Hibs-kid - 50.5
bhoy07 - 47
Uriah - 39
DUNDEEBOY - 32
Mark - 32
Caltonfan - 22
Stonecoldsaysso – 10
Crofter - 9

Celt increases his lead by 2 points, bhoy07 moves within a few points of myself in 3rd place.

The Killie player puts his foot in, its in front of Stokes. Stokes sees the foot, ensures he makes contact with the foot (which is when this pic is taken) and goes down. Stokes played for the penalty, sometimes you get the decisions, sometimes you don't. Stokes didn't.

Simples really

For what it is worth, Mark makes a very valid point which you do not want to understand or attempt to understand. Stokes, as far as I'm concerned, brought is foot forward into the defenders leg, it isn't the first time he's done it.

The dive afterwards deserved a booking for the sheer stupidity of it. Seen these given week in and week out for Celtic and Rangers so maybe it's a good thing one of the smaller clubs benefitted for a change.

Mark, you're not going mad, mate. It's called perspective - or more commonly referred to as Green tinted glasses.
