Who once had a company closed down by HMRC for non-payment of tax.

Who mentioned anything about record numbers?

The Dundee United support are standing firm and showing the clubs board what to expect if they vote the newly formed club into the SPL. Well done to them.

Or they could just be hanging fire until the result of the vote is known - they would still have plenty of time to buy a season ticket for the new season ... as let's face it they aren't exactly flying off the shelves.

I don't think in the current climate it is a wise move to be buying season tickets for any team in the SPL as nobody is sure exactly what sort of product they are paying to watch and that should be blindingly obvious.

And for a club like Dundee Utd they will never, in all reality, fly off the shelves.

You can try and tart it up any way you want it but the facts are that the vast majority of fans of the other SPL clubs do not want any new club Rangers anywhere near the SPL next season and are willing to walk away from financing their own clubs if they vote you in.

Sorry those aren't the facts - they are your opinion.

The facts are that nobody in their right mind would buy a season ticket right now until they know what they are getting for their money (ie how the vote goes on 4th July) common sense would tell you that ...

No, those are the facts.

Look at the surveys that have been held and published, look at the fan fora, speak to someone who isn't a Rangers fan. All the information available gives you the same answer. If the chairman let the new club The Rangers in fans will start going to Asda or a lower league match on a Saturday afternoon instead of going to an SPL match.

I know that is what you want to believe but it isn't correct.

Fans currently not buying is down to the soon to defunct Rangers and Sevco 5088. It has nothing to do with what they are getting for their money.

A Rangers story in the morning's papers which will shift attention from any fakeover nonsense.

Anyone got any idea what it is?

laughable. Wanna see how all those sympathisers in the scotland who say the SPL needs govan fc and scottish football wont survive without them spin this. The club they want to save so much wants to hop it down to england.

If, and this is a big if there was an opportunity for an Scottish side to join the English league pyramid, Celtic would be at the front of the queue.

Um what about Bury in all this!

As for the suns previous examples, I really don't think they are past precedents, and even if you claim they are, they haven't worked too well.

Moving Wimbledon to Milton Keynes was nothing short of a disaster, however much anyone from Milton Keynes tells you otherwise. In 2002 Wimbledon were in what is now called the championship challenging for the playoffs before moving to Milton Keynes, they are now playing in league 1 and have even managed a couple of seasons during their history to get relegated into league 2. And AFC Wimbledon have managed to create a replacement club for Wimbledon and have got the side promoted into league 2! Just 1 division below where MK Dons are now.

The cases about Swansea and Cardiff are laughable comparisons. They have both being in the English Football League since the 1920s spending time in the lower leagues and yes Swansea have EARNED their way into the top flight by winning football matches.

If Rangers want to be in England, then they should apply to any non league at a regional level that will have them. For them to be in league 1 straight away is unfair for any side in league 2 or the conference, or even below the conference.

If Rangers buy Bury and move to Ibrox there quite simply wouldn't be a Bury. It would bury Bury!

Would Rangers play at Ibrox or Gigg Lane? I wouldn't be happy travelling down there for a home game, going to England twice next season to play Berwick would be enough for me!
