The whole issue of whether playes are bound to remain with NewCo is down to contract law and TUPE, which is nothing to do with FIFA

The English FA and Swiss FA have contacted the SFA to provide international clearance for the five players so they can be registered, the SFA as usual don't have the balls to make a decision so have passed it to FIFA to decide.

FIFA are likely to rule that they can indeed be registered with the new clubs - Green would be powerless to stop them.

I am sure I read that the SFA could only give clearance if both old and new Rangers agreed. As that was never going to happen it was always going to end up with UEFA/FIFA. They will give clearance for now and warn that fees may be payable at some point (they wont be!)

The SPL payment to the SFL can only be reduced if the SPL tv deal falls below £6m otherwise it must be paid no matter what.

I like this guy, taking something that many see as negative, and putting a positive spin that helps lots of teams. Best idea so far if you ask me, but as you say, not sure it would ever happen.

Agreed.

However I think Dundee have a decent side for the SPL. Ross County will end up going back down as they lost a few key players.

Hibs have landed Colchester keeper Ben Williams on a free, hopefully proves a decent keeper, we've been due a decent number 1 for ages, Stacky was a good keeper but was injury prone. Loved big Makalamby but he was a liability. Anyway Fenlon seems to rate him.

Hibs also have Alan Maybury and Mark Kerr on trial, Maybury could prove a useful squad player but not really wanting Mark Kerr. Don't rate him if i'm honest.

We really need another couple of strikers, i'd take Leigh Griffiths back in a heartbeat, think he's an arse at times but I can't doubt his talent on the pitch. Dean Shiels return would be good also as per reasons I mentioned a few pages back.

I'd like us to get some good wingers, i'm a tad jealous at Aberdeen with the signings of Hayes and McGinn.

It does seem to be dragging on. The Rangers are more than capable of getting to the SPL if they start off in Scottish League Division 3, without any help from the authorities.

The Authorities are only trying to help themselves out of the ever-increasing hole they've dug for themselves. They don't want Rangers out of the SPL for 3-4 years(Div3) so are rail-roading the lower league clubs into accepting Rangers into Div1 in the hope that Rangers get promoted within 1 season (not a foregone conclusion either with a depleted playing squad) and thereby the TV deal/revenue/sponsorships continue.The consensus among nearly 80% of Rangers fans polled favours Div3,new start/clean slate. I for one hope thats the case but Div1 maybe the certainty. PS I used to stand on The South Bank at "old Molineaux" in the days of Steve Bull. Good times in Darlaston.

Any TV deal that relies on two teams playing each other is bad anyway. And yes Molineux is a fantastic stadium, especially whenever Bully scored!

No I asked whats the point in a vote to div 3 if the SPL/SFA/SFL can just overturn that if they feel its in the best interests of the game. The wording suggests that regardless of what the vote result is the governing bodies can ignore than and put sevco fc straight into div 1.

Yes, that was how I understood your earlier post.

If the members agree to item (ii), then the board have carte blanche to put NewCo straight into div 1. If they do not agree to item (ii), then Newco would not be admitted at all. There does not appear to be any option to say "We want to allow them into div 3 but not div 1"

Edit. Hence my comment that Raith could not vote for div 3,
as it's not a real option

Hence why Clyde want clarification. Glad to see clubs have picked up on the SFL board being totally ambiguous.
