For those who haven't seen the C4 news piece:

http://www.channel4.com/news/reveale...ngers-downfall

Meanwhile Paul Murray now saying that a CVA may not be possible.

Despite not being the best u19 team in the country, the Celtic U19's have won their third championship in a row.

Amongst other things that loads of folk at Ibrox were in on it, that Bain asked for his pay rise to be paid via EBT (illegal) and that Bain asked for documents to be shredded.

I don't think it is a coincidence that Bain withdraws his court case against Rangers the same day that this comes out.

Champions League qualifiers here we come

Apparently Auld Broon thinks Danny Uchechi is nothing more than a 5 a side player and regrets signing him and Chalali.

No the least he could've done was shutting his trap after the league cup final and not whining like a five year old.

If that's all it is why was Martin O'Neill not seen in the same way as Lennon.

It doesn't make sense.”

Brines get Lennon sent off?

For the sake of illustrating the point - if we assume that the top six is pretty much set for this season, here are the non-Old Firm sides who have made the top six in the last 8 years and the number of times they've done it:

Hearts - 7
Hibs - 6
Motherwell, United and Aberdeen - 5
Kilmarnock - 3

St Johnstone are the first non-Old Firm side outside of those six teams to make it to the top six since 2004, which shows what a good achievement it is for them.”

United have 6 top 6 place finishes. But the one under McCall might be more than 8 years ago. I pretty much tried to retcon the Sturrock/Smith/Hegarty/McCall/Chisholm/Brewster years.

Reading the article about domestic violence soaring after old firm games, won't that partly be down to their being more old firm fans?

I did like the point the psychologist made that the clubs could really do something about this. Cosmopolitan magazine had a campaign last year with guys dress in pink t-shirt saying 'real men don't abuse women'. Scott Brown and Steven Davis in those t-shirts would raise much more awareness.

So are referees not as honest as we're told they are?

The ref today had a shocker, 'George Sampson' y'd have better with the one that won BGT !

Nice touch for Stan on the 19 minute mark, it lasted about 3 mins in total, the first half was as bad as I've seen celtic all season, there is just no spark coming from the midfield even Stokes & Hooper weren't on the same wavelength !

Came out the second half play a little better, great goal by Sammy

I thought ST J should have had a 3 kick before we scored our second

So its onto Killie on saturday & let the party begin !!!

Nothing against Hibs but I was wondering why Hibs had been on tv so much this season outwith the Old Firm, by next week they will have been on 11 times, nearly one in three

Martin O'Neill wasn't a player when he came to Celtic, Martin O'Neill wasn't Celtic captain, Martin O'Neill never said he'd like to play for a United Ireland team.

It might raise awareness but I think it would make absolutely no difference in the long run.

Most of these cases of domestic abuse after Glasgow derby matches will have alcohol involved as a 'contributing' factor. I don't believe for one moment that some arsehole that is about to raise their hand to their partner in a drunken rage is suddenly going to think "Scott Brown/Steven Davis say that this is wrong so I'd better not do it."

I can't wait to see why the RST and David Leggat have to say about this. It will be comedy gold.

Any idea of dates or opposition yet?

St Mirren board members appear to believe that a Motherwell born billionaire was in some way linked to the recent failed takeover bid having provided an email as proof.

David Goodwillie admits assault then and will be sentenced in the near future.

Football wise his career seems to have stalled, doesn't really feature much for Blackburn and I feel if Blackburn stay up he will probably move on in the Summer to join the Scottish gang in the Championship.

Probably Cardiff if they don't come up or likewise Blackpool

It was always going to be hard for him to break into the Blackburn team, but I suppose he wanted to try his luck in the Premiership. He will end up in the championship as you say.

It just seems the way now that with very few exceptions the Championship is the best the vast majority of Scottish players will ever get to

There are currently 20 exceptions according to Wiki.

Are Ticketus the worst run multi billion £ company in the world?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/17592209

This article would certainly make you think so.

Why on earth would Ticketus 'wipe out' £17m worth of Rangers debt in return for £10m?
The spin put on this story is ridiculous as anyone with even a little common sense would realise the debt has not been wiped out and will merely be restructured over a longer period or it may well be 'written off' in return for some other form of recompense ie. less season tickets but over a longer period.
There isn't a hope in hell they've just decided to drop £17m.
Mark.

An interesting article on the SPL post-split fixtures.

http://splstats.wordpress.com/2012/0...plit-fixtures/

I'd like to see the SPL have the balls to give Celtic 18 home and 20 away, but like the author I can't see it, even if it does mean undermining the integrity of the battle for a European spot.
