When in doubt, wheel Walter out.
The cardigan backs McCoist's view about the panel, yet no one can explain why McCoist was making things up. 1. Rangers did know who these people were on the panel. 2. The FA have not being helping Portsmouth in the manner McCoist suggested. 3. The football league have not been going out of their way to help Portsmouth. 4. The money Portsmouth received was just what was already due to be paid, championship clubs all get £200k a month and the FL just said this would continue. For McCoist to say otherwise is disingenuous at best. |

Relegation for rangers if they go into liquidation
If rangers go into liquidation, they should be relegated, no mater who they are, even if there a big part of the spl If it was a smaller team, in the same trouble they would be instantly relegated And in away, it might even be good for the clubs in the 3rd division, increased revenue through the rangers fans |

Neil Lennon charged with 3 breaches of rules from the cup semi.
Charges relate to confronting the referee, twitter and improper conduct. |

I assume Wallace, Bocanegra, Goian, Bedoya, and Aluko will not be playing on Sunday?
Can't have players signed by Whyte and only Whyte that the club cant afford to pay either fees or wages participate in an SPL match - otherwise Rangers are no longer a victim. |

None of these people complaining about the punishment still haven't come up with an alternative 'measured' punishment for the rules they have indeed broken. |

Careful what you wish for, St Mirren have already said that with no RFC around it would cost us £1m per season, how can clubs afford to lose that sort of money.

i think rangers should tell the sfa and sfl to stick it and apply to join the english league
i mean if rangers were to be demoted to the scottish lower leagues then they may as well attempt to gain entry to the lower english divisions

Anyone who thinks the football league in England would want Rangers anywhere near there club needs there head tested. Clubs that dont pay tranfer fees, have dodgy contracts and avoid paying the taxman are not something the Football League will be looking for. Never mind the bigotry alive and well @ Ibrox.
Seems to me McCoist, Jardine, Walter Smith, Traynor etc etc are happy to play the victim and somehow treat everyone as idiots. Who is paying Jardine? Shouldnt he have been made redundant. There are plenty people who would like to kick rangers when they are down. A long queue I would imagine! |

Did Jardine REALLY say "Rangers are a special case"?
The combination of arrogance and ignorance on display is staggering at times. |

The rumour is that 75 players along with directors, CEO's and Chairman were all in receipt of money from the EBT's as some stage in their time at Rangers.
If that is true then it would explain the length of time the FTT is taking. |

I don't believe for one minute that McCoist isn't smart enough to know this which makes his comments even more of a disgrace.
Reminds me a bit of what Paisley the Bigot used to do in the north of Ireland where he was get elements of the Loyalist population into a fervour so they'd go out attacking Catholics and then he'd claim he didn't support violence. Quote:

Remember the boy McMillan on the radio the other night? Rangers have ripped off countless companies and not paid their debts and all he wanted to do was blame Neil Lennon. Quote:

For a lot of them they simply don't think that Rangers should be punished. Remember the boy McMillan on the radio the other night? For Jardine, as a Rangers employee, to be issuing threats at other clubs is astonishing. Just Jardine really expect us to believe that only Whyte had access to the financial information at Ibrox?? |

Should we give them the same choice, hard luck you into liquidation, but you can stay in the spl There maybe £1m to lose per season, but if rangers were relegated to div 1, as a comprimise, insted of div 3, these teams in div 1 stand to make out of rangers relegation, and might even boost tv rights for the first division teams |

The sad thing is the fact that the punishment dished out to Rangers is being debated on the basis of how much other clubs would lose out on financially rather than coming up with a proper punishment based on the scale of the crime.
If we brought this mentality down to an individual basis the punishment for your crime would be judged on how much you earned or people you employed . A high earner, employing people could get off with murder because he would be a loss to the economy if he was jailed for life but an unemployed person could presumably be shot. Nothing about this case should be based on how big Rangers are or the consequences to football as a whole. In the short term being lenient may be seen to be to the benefit of the game and protecting it but in the long term it will have far reaching repercussions IMO. |

co-sign. I find it disgaceful that journalists, pundits etc seem to treat rangers as a special case. What they have done has been shocking and the case should be judged purely on its merits.
They should have just put the refs on the payroll through EBTs. It would have been cheaper and had the same result! |

Really? Two home games (possibly one) with crowds of less than 7000 gets you £1m? TV money must be immense!

Just read Walter's comments in the Telegraph, he thinks the embargo should be suspended until Rangers come out of administration.
These people literally are a parody of themselves. |

What people??
![]() Suspending a registration ban until after administration seems on paper a suggestion of compromise, however the club is currently under an embargo anyway so it makes no sense. Then there is McCoist and his disingenuous comments from Tuesday night, Hateley questioning what makes a leading QC qualified to sit on a judicial panel or Jardine making threats against the clubs who are against Rangers - yet no club has made any public comments on what should happen to Rangers. |
