Relegation for rangers if they go into liquidation

If rangers go into liquidation, they should be relegated, no mater who they are, even if there a big part of the spl

If it was a smaller team, in the same trouble they would be instantly relegated

And in away, it might even be good for the clubs in the 3rd division, increased revenue through the rangers fans

There maybe £1m to lose per season, but if rangers were relegated to div 1, as a comprimise, insted of div 3, these teams in div 1 stand to make out of rangers relegation, and might even boost tv rights for the first division teams

The sad thing is the fact that the punishment dished out to Rangers is being debated on the basis of how much other clubs would lose out on financially rather than coming up with a proper punishment based on the scale of the crime.

If we brought this mentality down to an individual basis the punishment for your crime would be judged on how much you earned or people you employed . A high earner, employing people could get off with murder because he would be a loss to the economy if he was jailed for life but an unemployed person could presumably be shot.

Nothing about this case should be based on how big Rangers are or the consequences to football as a whole. In the short term being lenient may be seen to be to the benefit of the game and protecting it but in the long term it will have far reaching repercussions IMO.

co-sign. I find it disgaceful that journalists, pundits etc seem to treat rangers as a special case. What they have done has been shocking and the case should be judged purely on its merits.

As I've said before its nothing more than a derivative of match fixing over a large number of years, and thats just the EBT element of it.

They should have just put the refs on the payroll through EBTs. It would have been cheaper and had the same result!

Rangers people, Smith, McCoist, Hateley, Jardine etc... people connected to the club who will speak their mind before looking at what it is they are saying.

Suspending a registration ban until after administration seems on paper a suggestion of compromise, however the club is currently under an embargo anyway so it makes no sense.

Then there is McCoist and his disingenuous comments from Tuesday night, Hateley questioning what makes a leading QC qualified to sit on a judicial panel or Jardine making threats against the clubs who are against Rangers - yet no club has made any public comments on what should happen to Rangers.
