That is absolute nonsense I'm afraid. Name the last successful product of Chelseas academy? Chelsea have a history of signing youngsters and never really giving them a chance, why would they when they can sign almost anyone they want?
He left for more money, (in 'real world' terms he wouldn't have been poorly paid at Celtic anyway) he certainly didn't move to improve his prospects.
I've always had the impression that his heart wasn't in for Scotland and he's done absolutely nothing to change that. I fully expect him to never earn a full cap for Scotland and I won't lose sleep over it.
People keep using the 'he's only young' excuse for his disrespectful comments that doesn't wash with me though, I was child once but I never felt the need to act like a complete erchie, it's obviously just his character.

Chelsea have plenty of excellent prospects at their academy - They won the FA Youth Cup. He will be playing day in day out with a better calibre of player. He will learn more there than he ever would at Celtic. Its the same as when a player moves from a smaller team in Scotland to Celtic. He moved to a bigger and better team with a higher quality of player.

Money of course would have been a factor, it would be unrealistic to think it wouldn't. But added to what I mentioned above who in the right mind would turn down more money and better career prospects?

He may have made some disrespectful comments however these pale into insignificance compared to the racist abuse that he has received from the Celtic faithful since he moved. Disgraceful IMO.

Let's not play the racism card here, we all know the reason Feruz is getting abuse has nothing to do with race. Doesn't make it right and I'd never do it but I look at this type of abuse in the same way ginger haired, baldy or big eared people would be abused because it is the most obvious thing to target for narrow minded individuals when they feel they have an axe to grind.

Celtic actually have one of the best youth teams in Europe, they'd certainly have a good chance against Chelseas. He might get to watch better players on the big boys pitch at the training but I don't think there will be a massive step up in the quality of his team mates.

I think Feruz will end up switching countries once the money is on the table to do so.

I hear what you are saying that the fact he is black is not the reason that Celtic fans want to abuse him. However the abuse he is receiving is most definitely racist and very much deserves the racism card. No matter the reason you don't like someone, as soon as you start brining their ethnicity into it then it is racism. I can understand Celtic fans being upset at losing him, he is obviously very talented and is a big loss to them, especially as they invested in him. However it is time to move on. I have also searched online to say Chelsea have concerns around his performance / behaviour and couldn't find any comments attributed to anyone at Chelsea.


Chelsea have invested heavily in first team players over the last 10 years as we all know. However Abramovich has stated a few years back that he wanted to bring players through and over the last 3-4 years has been investing in the youth team. This has just started to show results now and should do even more so in the next few years with more players breaking through.

Celtic do have a very good youth setup, however they will always be a stepping stone to the big league at best

Interesting as well that the £8.5m provided by the green knights is a loan with interest so Rangers will still be in debt regardless.

CoS refer decision back to SFA appeal tribunal, not a 'win' for Rangers as such, but not a flat rejection either. More on stv.tv in a min.

#Rangers have also been awarded expenses.

Judge decided the registration ban was not a sanction which was available to SFA disciplinary tribunal for bringing game into disrepute.

The sanctions available are set out in SFA rules as: fine, suspension, expulsion from Scottish Cup & termination of membership.

Judge pointed out there is no mention of any player registration ban.

To reiterate - decision will be sent back to the appeal tribunal, not the original disciplinary tribunal. Judge had 3 reasons for this.

1. It's a "matter of some urgency" & will be quicker to send to appeal tribunal than start again at disciplinary tribunal.

2. The court only asked to look at "additional sanction" - no argument over fine or fact they brought game into disrepute.

3. The appeal tribunal itself can refer back to disciplinary tribunal if they think it's necessary.

Do Rangers not realise that the SFA can now just turn round and terminate their membership, like they considered doing?

It seems a schoolboy error that a governing body would try and implement sanctions outwith it's own regulations. The SFA will now need to select a replacement sanction - higher fine ( meaningless in the CVA situation but they are seen to act ) ? , expulsion ? ( no way will they actually do this given financial impacts to other member clubs ) , Scottish Cup suspension is a possibility

The SFA will be spineless and do nothing other than increase the fine. The only hope is Fifa tell the SFA to sort this out or there will be trouble for them.

Another example of the scottish football authorities showing how inept they are. Mickey Mouse football at its finest. The SFA shouldnt of tried to comprimise and should of booted rangers out as the had the power to do.

The SFA have to uphold there rulebook and punish rangers for taking this matter to court but they wont. The SFA have to expel Rangers from membership of the SFA. They have no choice in the matter or Uefa/Fifa will threaten action which effects the other clubs and the National side.

As for the CVA. Rapid have already said they aint accepting no CVA and will go to the international authorities backed by the Austrian FA unless they are paid in full.

If indeed the SFA have maxed out on the fine option, then it's put up or shut up time

Exactly and in reality suspension/expulsion is what should of happened but they bottled it and now have been put in bad position as they cant let rangers win.

UEFA need to be on the phone to these dummies ASAP telling them that need to sort it out or the scotttish game will face serious consequences.
