Do you miss it?
Did any of you guys miss when songs used to be FULL meaning no rap in between songs just full lyrics of singing with theme music in background. Most of today's music seems to be the same with small singing parts and big rap parts has it become a bit cliche? not saying they all have to be full but is it a bit too much? do you also miss when songs had less autotune or if so no autotune at all I ACTUALLY DO I just think it spoils the spark (essence) of the song most of the time but at times it's not bad for small parts but it's a bit overused in today's music don't you think? again this doesn't go for all songs but most songs are covered in this it's mainly Pop music though I'm going a bit off for today's music it's just not the same most songs sound the same, have the same tune, background but easily cover this away by adding effects/autotune etc I miss when it was more original back then .

I think you can convey just as much meaning in rapping as you can in singing (if not, more).
I agree with the bit about "theme music in the background" though. The "background music" in songs is one of the worst things about chart music at the moment. So many mainstream songs at the moment have the same beat and instrumental. It's all club beats and it sounds very overproudced. The artists need to tone things down. I preferred in the mid-00s when the mainstream music had lots of drums and intricite melodies in the sounds. Now it's just like "thump, thump, thump, thump" going through most songs. |

Yes, I do, Ringo. I miss the days of proper music with folk who could actually sing and play.
