I've been looking at tiny.com's deal they are offering on plasma screens. They say these are samsung next gen panels. Does anyone have any views on the quality of these? Im particulary interested in the 42" which they are selling for £1269 + £100 delivery. Anyone who actually has bought one would be great to hear from.

Everyone I know with a Samsung plasma says it's great, but Tiny *force* you to take out a 'support' package. These start at £14.99/month. I'm not sure if there's a minimum term?

Richer Sounds have some good Plasmas: Daewoo DP42 for £1200, Panasonic TH42PWD6BX for £1500. Anyone got any opinions on these?

TINY! NO! ARGH!!

I HAVE a Tiny computer and what a mess on I had with it! My monitor cable was faulty - they were gonna take it away for 3 weeks without giving me a replacement monitor or anything!

My modem only connects at 36.66k, always has - even after I installed everything fresh - The settings are all correct!

My hard drive broke after about a year, so I had to get a new one!

The worse thing was they went bankrupt, so a different company were handling the repairs - called them on a premium rate help line for about 10 minutes to find out that they would just take the whole computer away for a while to fix it! couldn't be bothered waiting all the time, so I just got new parts myself (annoyingly!)

Basically, now, all I have is the original motherboard, the RAM, sound card and modem! Everything else I had to buy again because it was just shit! It cost my dad £1,500 too!

The Plasma screen will probably implode of something! lol...

They take out ads in computer mags to look like articles (a practice which I really hate )

They then 'interview' the head of 'Research & Development' and talk about products as if they make them themselves and not just re-badge kit from the far east.

One 'question' is regards past poor reputation about support, which they then 'answer' by saying that was an 'old' company and even thought we were not legally obliged to do so we took on the support for customers from the 'previous' company.

To quote the old saying.... You can't polish a t**d

what is the point of the tiny.com plasma (you would suffer the pain of the badge too), when for just a couple of hundred pounds more you get a 42" quality panny from richer sounds as in an earlier post.
