Late Night with Jimmy Fallon

Apologies if there is another thread for this show but I couldn't find one.

Watched this a few times on CNBC (ch 505) and it seems like a pretty good show, funny Neil Young/ Springsteen parody to start the show tonight.

Bruce is the main guest tonight and he's still looking great.

Saturday and Sunday shows are the full length versions of the edited (30 minute) weekday shows.

Here is the schedule for next week.

Ricky Gervais is on tomorrow.

I think it's been on about a month, replacing Leno.

Vanessa Hudgens looks like she's about to spill out of her top.

I found switching from 16:9 to 4:3 helped with that.

(seriously, why don't they show it in widescreen?)

Why have they replaced The Tonight show with Jay Leno ?

I don't really like Fallon's show but it's watchable, with regards to the guests.

I like Jimmy Fallon for the show itself, it seems to take itself less seriously than the rest and the house band The Roots are a draw for me. The only thing that lets it down is how bad/uncomfortable he seems to be in the actual interview part. But maybe thats just me

The monologues aren't that great either.

Think Craig Ferguson is the best U.S. chat show host.

I don't think it has a dedicated thread but we've been discussing the show in these threads over the past few weeks. I'm really enjoying having it on UK screens, if you are too let CNBC know as some people have been asking them to bring back Leno.

Jay Leno come back !

I have been watching Jay Leno since the early 90s and was very surprised to see him disappear from sky last month. Then I found this :-

Jays show went off the air on the sky platform the following week ..........

Freaky timing but just a coincide of course. We wouldn't want to give elected timewasters Virendra Shrama and John McDonnell the idea they're actually having an effect, now would we?

Those Early Day Motions should be scrapped. They're nothing but a wasteful expense allowing nobody MPs to quack about matters that should not concern the government. They should learn to shut their yaps.

Interesting how Fallon appeared more comfortable interviewing Obama than he does interviewing some B-list TV show cast members. Maybe it's hard work interviewing people who aren't really very interesting.

And in the interest of balance, I find Fallon more funny and entertaining than Leno.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind Leno (although I didn’t like the way he handled his exit and return to The Tonight Show), and ‘Headlines’ are by far his best feature. Jay walking is quite good too. But in terms of the late night hosts I would place him behind Conan, Letterman and Fallon in my person preferences. I’ve not included Jon Stewart as it’s a different type of show, but he is also up there with the best too.
