Samsung Galaxy Ace is a great phone for the price, its around that pice point. Or u can look at Orange San Francisco or San Francisco 2

The Samsung Galaxy Ace isn't great for any price, even the San Francisco you mentioned is better.

The Nokia Lumia 710 It's a little bit more than your budget, but worth it in my opinion. mobile-phones-uk.org.uk write in their review: Quote:
Unlike most budget smart phones, this one doesn't cut too many corners when it comes to hardware, so you get a top-performing smartphone for a fraction of the price. It's a solid performer that can beat most mid-range phones hands down.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-lis...&condition=new - £165http://shop.o2.co.uk/mobile_phone/pa...okia/Lumia_710 - £189 Failing that, I would go for the HTC Wildfire S. http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...HTC+WILDFIRE+S |

You can get the Nokia Lumia 710 for £150 payg on Vodafone. Get it during march and they also throw in 6 months of free zune pass. (It's an unlimited music subscription service, kind of like Spotify).
Comfortably one of the best phones at that price. |

I played with Lumia 710 in a shop for a while. It's a nice phone, IMO looks better live than in pictures.

also looking to upgrade from an old sony phone, and want a Smart phone to replace it.
Conditions. Must have an mp3 player built in, with a big memory for plenty of music (or via a card which can be added). Internet connection. Not one of the old style Nokia systems...must be Android, Windows, or iphone. Not as big as a brick - i like the look of the new small sony's. Touchscreen, not buttons. Capable of internet movie playback/flash. Must be cheap, upto £150, with the cheapest monthly subscriptions or pay as you go. Can anyone answer this.... One of the things i want to be able to do is check emails. My current email is a web based service, so i dont know what any of the settings are - you dont have them on web mail. Will i be able to use this service on a smart phone, and if so how? |

If you tell us which webmail you mean, someone can probably point you in the right direction. |

I'd say the Orange San Francisco 2, or Orange Monte Carlo if you're on orange. i have a nokia 3410 at the moment so its gonna be a huge step forward so i need some help. Many thanks The Galaxy Ace (2), Sony Erricson Xperia Live, Acer Liquid Metal, Nokia Lumia 710 and HTC Desire S are all great phones and should be no more than around £150. They all do internet, texts, calls and with a micro sd card they have enough storage for music, movies and files. Quote:

WP7 phones do not have SD storage, only internal memory, Lumia 710 has 8GB AFAIK. They use Zune software to load the media files on the phone. It's like iTunes but not so bloated and the file transfer is bidirectional. There's no flash, flash is only on Android, not sure if all versions. As for email, with WP7 you can try to let the phone configure the account for you automatically. It worked for me in all cases, 2 'other' IMAPs, one gmail, one exchange server. If automatic configuration fails, you can try manual configuration, but then you need to know server names, ports, passwords etc. Or you can use the web interface in IE9.

Fast = the Acer L M.
Big = the Monte Carlo. Others are more 'so so' technically . |
