Intermittently my HDS-600RS seems to independently switch itself on for a few moments ie all front box lights light up, it does the normal check HDD and then switches itself off.

At other times the remote access light switches on and then after a few moments goes off.

The remote controller isn't being used and no authorised person is accessing remotely.

Does anyone else see the same thing and does anyone know what the box is doing?

Hi uk1, i've had one of these Echostar's for a month now, cant say i have had this happen, i don't have the sling feature in operation. Maybe its updating internally somehow? Is it interfering with tv viewing? You could give Echostar an e-mail, www.myechostar.com. has a contact option on website. They are usually pretty responsive to customer enquiries. Good luck
