Hi , I ve just brought a galaxy mini. I know bbc iplayer is a nono. But can this phone be made to stream radio? Surely that is quite a bit less demanding than video?

Yes you can, you just need the Tune In radio, which has pretty much every radio station under the sun listed.

Some stations such as Capital and Jack FM, also have their own android app.

I have that App and that phone and they work fine.

Tunein Radio is terrific: If you pay for the full version (About £2.80 if I remember rightly) it lets you record programmes (or just songs) onto your memory card, and do timer recordings of shows. On some phones it will even let you do a voice-search for artistes,and will search the net for a station somewhere in the world playing that artiste. (This last is a bit hit-and-miss though!)

The pro Tunein app is on offer (I think only for today) at 20p. So anyone who wants it get it while you can.
