I wonder why Manufactures do not do a Set Top Box with both a Freeview HD and a Freesat HD Tuners inside, is it because of cost?

Some TVs namely some Panasonic ones have both tuners inside so why not other devices like Set Top Boxes, PVRs, new DVD Players/Recorders,
Blue Ray Players/Recorders and 3D Blue Ray Players, etc

I know that Panasonic have pulled out of making Freesat stuff but can't another Manufacture take over?

a freesat HD and freeview HD combined PVR would be IDEAL.

you can buy freeivew hd boxes for about £30 and freesat hd for slightly more.... so the cost of the tuners can't be that prohibiting.

There would only need to be one of each tuner........ most channels are on both platforms

The Choice of PVRS is
Freeview Line Up http://www.dmol.co.uk/lcn_post.php
or
Freesat Line Up http://www.freesat.co.uk/what-you-get/our-channels/

( not to mention Virgin and $ky)

Both/and is best sorted with a spare STB or the idTV route

Because it would be too expensive, it wouldn't sell and it would be a complete waste of time.

The TV's have Freeview tuners in because they are required to do so, and basically the Freesat part is just an added extra to a normal Freeview/Analogue TV.
