Something about a japanese tea or something- I believe he peed in the tea and rubbed his member around the rim of the cup after the customer complained before returning the tainted item to said customer.
Stomach churning! And yes he claimed the customer drank it all and said it was much better! Barf.

I don't see how it would work though because if I was in that audience or a viewer then I would be giving anywhere he worked a wide berth. Strangly enough though I watched a Parky interview on BBC4 the other night and Peter Cook told a similar anecdote. |

Marcus obviously hates Mountain, and probably vice versa, they could barely hide their contempt for one another on the camera.
Marcus was a bit unprofessional with his marking. It deserved a 5-6 purely for effort, and giving him a 2 more or less made the next two rounds redundant as Mountain had too steep a erm... mountain to climb ![]() Neither has come out smelling of roses. IMO Richard Corrigan should be the judge every week, never a dull moment.

Just seen a tweet from an Olympic athlete - the banquet was apparently yesterday. Luckily no spoilers

An idea for next year could be a Champion Of Champions competition, where only chefs who have got through to a banquet on any given year come back and battle it out. It would require some format tweaks but I think it would work.
I'd love to see the likes of Richard Corrigan, Marcus Wareing and Glynn Purnell sweating under the pressure again. |

Maybe he should try switching it off and on again.

I don't believe that plonker has turned up again, just to taste the food!

That's the dullest looking dessert I've seen in ages.

I wonder which one it was who decided they didn't want to be in the same room as the other.
Probably JM. |

JM probably too ashamed to be in the same room as Marcus, as he must have realised by now that he acted like a childish prick.

Mountain's fish course was pathetic. When he went to see Heston's colleague he said that he and Heston has been continually working on and improving that dish for years. If Mountain is arrogant enough to think he can learn and perfect a new style of cooking overnight (when let's face it, his usual style of cooking isn't that great) then he deserves to be slated. You don't get a decent grade in exams for just "putting in the effort". If it's wrong, you don't get marks, and this competition should be graded in exactly the same way. |

He obviously thinks he's some sort of culinary genius, so I am surprised that he didn't think that he could create a main and dessert worthy of 10s. He still could have scored a total of 29 even with a 2, and might have made the final. Marcus didn't spoil the contest... Mountain did. Yes it's an entertainment show, but there is also professional pride at stake. Marcus wouldn't overmark a dish if he felt that he didn't deserve it, as it would reflect on him if he sent it through to the final, and Oliver had to be sick in to a bucket after eating it. Let's not forget that the other chefs thought his fish dish was pretty ropey too. We only see it and gauge their reactions... they actually had to taste it. Marcus is one of the top chefs in the country, if not the best, and I doubt he would allow any "feud" with someone who is obviously an inferior chef to sway his marking. Don't forget, he still gave Mountain a remarkably generous 7 for his starter. |

I agree with BBrennan.
That said, I don't think JM should be coming back - in what can only be a damage limitation exercise. I reckon he complained and the producers agreed this compromise. If I were one of the remaining chefs I wouldn't be keen on him sticking his neb in. IMO it's a tad egotistical to think that trailing on at the end to give your opinion about the food is 'supportive'. Far from damage limitation, I think it looks a bit sad.

I have asked this before but did not get an answer why is there bad blood between them? is it just because of the Great British Menu or have they worked together in the past? any one know?
