I have not yet seen ANY good reason for Jorgie's marks being so low compared to the others.”
Because she didn't use the prop she was given in any sort of interesting way. She twirled it only when stationary on the ice (and I know how much you dislike stationary dancing so you presumably you hated that?). When she was skating forwward she left it streaming out behind her like she was holding a stick - not interesting. She twirled it a little on a couple of back crossovers - no danger when you are going backwards. She did succeed in throwing it to Matt but he was the one who had to catch it and credit to him for doing so.
So the routine just wasn't interesting and she did not skate it with conviction. The others had to juggle numerous props - get into and out of things on the ice which is hard. i agree Jen had little actual skating but it's not so easy getting on and off things and balancing on them on the ice either and her performance in terms of expression and conveying the emotion and feel of the piece were great (and I don't even like her but enjoyed that performance).
The boys had a lot of interesting things to do - and controlling a whip is harder than twirling a ribbon a bit in lackadaisical fashion and Chemmy did her best performance by a mile with some great technical skating , good use of the props and her personality came across well with her use of them. Of all the performances Jorgie's was the least interesting. I do think it was a mistake by T & D to give her that one prop which made her performance stand out so much from the others and for Louie and for me it was for the wrong reasons.
I loved her skate to 'Wake me up' but during this one I needed something to wake me up and her skating didn't.
