Is Matt being unfairly favoured?
I've nothing against him personally and think he's a very good skater actually, but he seems to be getting really high marks for dull routines. Take just now, no way what was the best performace of the night but it had top scores! It's especially appalling when you consider how unfairly marked Jorgie was for a spotless routine tonight.
I'm sure it's because he's in Emmerdale is an ITV employee. |

I do agree that hes getting very high marks for routines with no visible "wow factor"
A part of mes thinking perhaps they undermarked Jorgie to create a talking point..it just seems so unfair! |

I thought the same with Strictly. I noticed that the BBC employees were always over marked. However, Andy got a hard time and he is also employed by ITV

Here we go....Jorgie (the fav) is getting slated with the marks and suddenly Matt is being overmarked every week....could the marks given for him means that he actually delivering an exciting performance every week??

Speaking of the wow factor, he's not a patch on Chris Fountain or Ray Quinn who could skate rings around him any day of the week. Chris without any kind of dance background as well.

But his performance this week was not in any way exciting. It was disapointing and he was very slow over the ice at times.

Like for example, that routine tonight wasn't a patch on Chris' "cry me a river" yet it scored higher.. |

Matt was the best tonight. And has been throughout the whole series. He might not have the wow factor that Chris and Ray had but I wouldnt say anyone does this year. His routine was great tonight. He had a lot to do with the props and the lift and he did it very well!

Matt just makes it look easy he is awesome, I would have loved to see him on SCD - but Georgi was undermaked, they performed the routine they were given well

I don't think he is being overmarked, he had the hardest job tonight walking through the hoop, I think he deserved the points.

That's your opinion....his performance was very good tonite....I do realise there's a lot of Jorgie fans on this forum and a 6.5 will fuel their anger even more....Matt is more versatile and it's different moves from him every week....whether it is a slow or fast routine!!

His performance was not worth a 9.5, it's ludicrous. It's nothing to do with being a Jorgie fan, it's about fairness and there has been none tonight. Chico, Chemmy, Matt and Jen all overmarked, and poor Jorgie grossly undermarked. The show is now a joke. The judges should hang their heads in shame.

Yes! This is the problem with males, I always compare them to either Chris, Ray, or maybe even Sam, and Matt just (in my opinion) is not the same standard as them, yet hes getting higher marks.
Like for example, that routine tonight wasn't a patch on Chris' "cry me a river" yet it scored higher.. |

Matts good, hes competent, but he just doesn't perform the way others have in the past..hes a bit slow over the ice sometimes and there always feels like theres something missing. |
