Maybe so, but the ribbon is very hard to control in gymnastics never mind on the ice. She had a hard task tonight and it was undermarked.

Matt is a good skater but, imo for some reason he doesn't have the same "wow" factor as Chris Fountain. Technically he's probably the better skater but, there's something missing for me.

I didn't think he was favoured until the week Sebastien went out. When I saw how fast and complicated Seb's routine was, I thought at the time that the routine should have been given to the "better" skater. Better skaters than Seb would have struggled with that routine, which made me think that Matt really can't be all that if they're not prepared to give him something as risky as Seb's.

Tonight's routine was another "solid" routine from Matt but, lacked the speed which would be needed for a 10! Even so he was perceived to be a lot better than Jorgie; who stood out tonight because she was the only skater with one prop!

I think Jorgie was definitely in the top 2 tonight, and thats not being a bias fan. I thought the routine was beautiful, had a speed over the ice, had a grace and elegance in the movements, and told a story. It actually gave me shivers and she controlled the ribbon so well throughout!

She had to even control it in lifts, when she was being twirled around in the air! She had a harder job then people on here would give her credit for.

I think Matt did brilliantly tonight. It's no good comparing his scores against Chris' or Rays. He's not being marked against them surely? It's no good comparing a skater on this years show against those who have gone before.

BTW! before anyone starts, I'm a Chico fan (never thought I'd say that) and he did well too tonight. Thought Jen was very good with her performance as well

Just because Jorgie wasnt able to fool the judges this week with the "Oh this is soooo hard" routine in the clip before hand, dont take it out on the others. She was boring tonght, did very little with the ribbon and the little she did do she had to keep looking at the ribbon so it did not look natural at all.

Thats in your opinion, there are many of us who think she did very well with what she was given.

Nobodys taking it out on others, some of us are just trying to fathom why Jens "dragged around- the extension" routine got more then Jorgie.

I was responding to the post saying the rest were overmarked which in my opinion was not true.

I thought Matt was fantastic tonight & deserved his score - for me it s one of the best prop routines ever on the show - up there with Kyran & Mel's.

Why slate Matt for a great performance just because Louie threw out a silly mark for Jorgie.

Jorgie wasn't undermarked. Her fans should realise that with all the fancy routines she's had so far, she's barely done any skating. Tonight with only one prop it showed that she is only mediocre.

Won't matter, poor Chemmy will be in the skate off again, the GPB just don't like posh people, despite the fact that she probably works harder than the others and has no showbusiness background.

You can't really compare the score to Chris's, though as it was under a different scoring system with a different number of judges.

The scores don't really matter per se. Matt deserved to score higher than the others tonight, which he did, and deserves his place on the leaderboard.

I never assume you were a jorgie fan..I didn't even mention it!! IMO its been Jorgie that has peaked too soon....her 1st skate was great, since then she hasn't lived up to the high expectatoon I had for her....even Chemmy has surpassed her over the last few weeks!! Brilliant skating from her tonite....she shouldn't go based on that alone. I will now always remember Jorgie for her lifts not necessarily for her actual skating...or lack of skating over the weeks since week 1!!

I do agree that despite the whole scoring mess, Matt deserved to be on top.

But he's not competing against Ray or Chris. Whilst I agree that there have been weeks when Jorgie has outperformed him, she has usually outscored him in those weeks. Likewise, when Chico surpassed him, he also outranked him on the leaderboard. Neither's performance was better than his tonight.

Jorgie's marks from Robin and Kati were not ungenerous, it's only Louie who gave her a surprisingly low score.

In answer to the original question of 'is Matt being unfairly favoured' ... No.

I think Matt is the best of the bunch, but he is not as good as previous contestants.

Thought it was a nice touch of Matt to tweet asking people to vote for Jorgie to keep her out of the skate off.

I had Chico top tonight followed by Matt and Jorgie. There was not much between the 3 of them but Jorgies routine even though skated well was a little boring.

Yes it was nice to be fair.

Really felt that Jen should have gone this week. Who knows, she might actually let go of Dan next week

It was a nice thing to do, but not really fair to Chemmy who was a far better skater tonight.

For me, Matt peaked too early! I loved him at the beginning and I truly believed he could be as good as Ray, Chris and Sam but he has been so inconsistent, I am starting to feel very unsure. He also has not had that "WOW" routine, like Chris' Cry Me a River, Sam's Riverdance on Ice or Ray's.....well let's face, he had one every week! Jorgie's has had hers in rock week.

While I do think he skated well tonight, I do think he was messy in parts. To be honest, the judging tonight overall, just seem wrong to me. I felt like I was watching a different show to the judges.

Exactly this, they are being marked against each other, not bygone contestants - so that theory can be flung out right now. I too adore Chico and hope he gets into the final 3 - he deserves to! Matt was marked correctly in my view, he had some very intricate and new moves there, all of which he pulled off making them look way easier than they were. I loved all the performances last night, but Matt's was technically the hardest and the best.
