Isn't it funny how, until tonight's show, this forum had quite a few people saying that the show was being set up to give Jorgie the best possible chance of winning - yet now it's being rigged AGAINST her!?
I've never thought there was a golden girl but a golden boy.

I think it was a very calculated ploy for more voting money. They know Jorgie is very popular so what better than to mark her low to make people incensed enough to vote. I bet a lot of people who don't normally vote were on their phones tonight.

This is very true...and a conspiracy theory that I actually agree with. I'm an example of what your saying - I was so angry that I voted for her to make sure she wouldn't be at the bottom.

However, I think now next week will be her 'WOW' performance that she's capable of...and will get the first perfect 10's of the series.

I'm not one though, I like Jorgie the best but I do not vote anyore and never will again.

The people responsible for tonight's debacle were Torvill & Dean. Skaters of their quality ought to have been able to come up with something better for a skater of Jorgie's standard.

If you are going to do a 'prop' week you should give everyone the same number of props and as far as possible make them all evenly matched in terms of difficulty.

As soon as I heard Jorgie had one when the rest of them had 5 I knew it would work to her disadvantage.

Similarly with the choreography. Either you make them all handle their prop throughout (as Jorgie had to) or you give all of them the opportunity to dump the prop and go off and do some technical performance skating (as Chico did).

I felt the judges comments were more about the choreography than Jorgie's skatng ability.

Since Jane and Chis came up with the choreography
the judges marks were more a reflection that they felt
Jane and Chis's routine sucked.

The unfortunate outcome was that Jorgie was the victim of
a routine the judges didn't like.

Personally I really liked Jorgies performance and thought she would get a high mark as usual. I was surprised like many of you when I saw the scores (especially from Louie).

There might be a fan backlash on Louie and it wouldn't surprise me if he was not asked back next year.

I think Jane and Chis really need to pull their socks up and make sure all contestants routines contain good technical content and performance so this does not happen again.

I just think the judges are hypocrites.

Louis is a "performance" judge..he looks at the dancing-style elements. So if he thinks not enough is going on in Jorgies, fine, but hes got to actually look at problems in other peoples performances too.

E.g. Chemmy is a brilliant skater, but she has no grace or poise on the ice.
Chico was quite slow tonight, and skated quite a bit without his prop
Jen was being dragged around on different props throughout, and probably skated on her own for about 5 seconds..
Thank you, someone who notices Chemmy has no grace. Everytime she skates, the way she holds her arms drives me insane!

Jen had a great routine, but not enough skating! Chico, loss of speed in parts tonight. Matthew also seemed to speed and had couple of messy points in his routine.

I will be surprised if Louis is back next series because Chris looked mad at him.
If Louis is in it next series I won't be watching the show.

Chemmy's actual skating was really strong, controlled and precise .. she did a lot of technical stuff and IMO deserved her marks as she also put on a really good performance

She still lacks the grace of the other girls but to me it wasn't needed in this particular routine asi it was more of a fun one
Chemmy's not my usual 'cup of tea', but having watched her in the skate off, I have to say I thought her routine was fab. Shame she was up against my favourite, Chico.

I get the feeling sadly that there are people Jayne and Chris pull their plugs out for to give them good routines that will catch the eye and those theye are not that bothered about. Like poor Charlene this year.

They should be treating everyone exactly the same, not having any favourites. They have never given Chico a routine that plays to his strengths

I hope Chico survives this weekend- in a way they are manipulating who ends up in the skate off by their dull choroegraphy for people who deserve a lot better than half hearted coaching

While I understand why you voted for Jorgie and fair enough for doing so - it meant that we nearly lost Chico while Jennifer who is an inferior skater went through

Jennifer has to go next weekend, as Chico deserves to be in the final

True...but I never voted for Jennifer, and would have been perfectly happy with her in the skate off against Chemmy.

If we lost Jorgie over Chico...I think that would have been more tragic.

P.S - I agree that Jennifer should go next week completely. A Chico/Jorgie/Matt final will make exciting TV !!

I think Jane and Chris thought we would all look at this routine and go 'ooohhh that was beautiful and such a hard prop to dance with' - whereas I thought it was boring compared to the other routines and their multiple props..
this^^ totally and utterly this ~ and it backfired on Jane and Chris

I will be surprised if Louis is back next series because Chris looked mad at him.

Can someone explain to me why he marked Jen higher than Jorgie because Jen didn't do any skating.
If Louis is in it next series I won't be watching the show.
Louis marked on what he saw, which was a bland and boring routine. Jorgie wore a pretty dress, skated to pretty music with a pretty prop and that was it. Yes she did what was asked but she didn't appear too enthusiastic about it.

Louis marked Jennifer higher because he marks on performance and Jen's acting, enthusiasm and the fun she brought to her routine were infectious and clearly captured enough of the voters to keep her safe.

Such an outcry from Jorgie's fans who are screaming for the heads of T&D because they were responsible for the routine. Yet at the same time they're having their weekly rant about the lack of skating in Jennifer's routine.

Oh the irony. Hasn't it occurred to them that if T&D are responsible for anything lacking in Jorgie's routine, they are also responsible for what they perceive as lacking in Jennifer's.

I really cannot understand your constant urging of others to 'get rid' of Jennifer.

OK so you don't like her. Fine, but others do and what makes you think anyone will join your band wagon.

I'm no fan of Jorgie but she has her support and I wouldn't dream of telling other posters to vote tactically to 'get rid' of her.

Sorry ut Jennifer is overmarked and overrated in my opinion. She barely skated unaided last night

I so agree with you on this I think it is a downright pathetic approach to take. I have also noticed it is a particular small band of posters that are especially vocal about it even when she does do well. What gives them the right to tell people how to vote. Like you I dislike Jorgie but I wouldn't dream of telling everyone to vote for everyone else to get her out of the show.

Its not even just dislike its total hatred in some cases and for no apparent reason and despite asking some of the posters why they have such hatred they don't respond.

Support your favourite but stop trying to force people to jump on bandwagons and demanding that they get someone out of the show. I'm sure the Jorgie fans would be the first to go crying to the mods if people started saying vote to get Jorgie off the show.

Fine. that's your opinion and you're entitled to it but your nastiness and urging others to 'get rid' of her goes way beyond mere opinion. It's a hatred campaign. You did the same with Karen Barber and your "We Can't Let Karen Win" thread, urging posters to bombard ITV in an attempt to sitr up trouble for Karen.

Do you really think anyone takes any notice of you?

btw if Jennifer barely skated last night blame T&D. They choreographed the routine. Or are they only to blame when it comes to Jorgie?

Didn't you realise its one rule when it comes to Jorgie and another for Jennifer because thats what suits the Jorgie fans because that what suits them its fine if it happens to Jennifer because they don't like her but its war if Jorgie gets criticised and then the hate campaigns start. I truly hope Jennifer makes the final partly because I really do want her to do well and she to me is what the show is about as she has consistently improved throughout the series but also to get there despite the attempts of people to stir up hate campaigns against her.

Jorgie's weak performance is being blamed on T&D's choreography, Jen's getting slated for not doing much skating.....Did they not also choreograph Jen's routine?

I can't remember, have we ever had a winner where they have started off like baby elephants and progressed so much to win, or have they always been forgone conclusions from the outset? Just curious

The winner of the first series Gaynor Faye was actually in the first ever skate off.

Gaynor did improve a lot but I think that it was more her personality and partnership with Dan that was lovely to watch that won people over than skating ability.

The production team will be pleased we are all still arguing about last night because it was all planned that way. I am sure everything that happened last night was meant to happen including Robin's mistake. The only thing that didn't according to plan was Matt was supposed to drop the stick but they are such a great team they got it right when it mattered. Harry and Aliona got similar treatment on Strictly this year in the quarter finals and they went on to win. Just thought I would through that in.

as Jorgie finished last night both Mr S and I said , now that was lovely

and it was , i dont know why Louie had that reaction to it, because surely he should have been marking what the whole performance was rather than throwing a strop about Jorgie only being given one prop.

I think Jorgie was under marked last night and Matthew again over marked for a competent performance.

Jennifer was also given poor choreography how is being dragged about in a bucket on ice skilful?

Thankfully though both girls are through this week despite the poor choices of T and D

T and D seem to have run out of ideas and need to let others choreograph good ,fair routines for all
