Is Chemmy the best losing quarter-finalist...

...in all the series of DOI ? I can't think of anyone better who went out at this stage.

I agree - third on the leaderboard and eliminated? Not really fair!

I think so.

Apart from these last two weeks, I think Chemmy's been so undermarked in her performances.

She's definitely up there with the best skaters to appear on Dancing on Ice.

I think (I cant properly remember) Danny Young going out at around this point aswell, and he was pretty good, so its probably a tie between those two.

Thankyou! Oh ok, Jeff and Zoe were brilliant too...the 4 of them are on par!

Was Greg the one who loved doing that one move? Oh what was it?! He was so funny!

Id say Zoe Salmon was the best...she got 6.0 one week!

Chemmy just looked like a big..buffalo being lifted!

Jeff was great

On balance, I think I would say it was Zoe Salmon

Zoe got a 6.0 from Ruthie, who seemed to be besotted with her (performances). I think Chemmy is at least a better skater than Zoe.

His highest score was 22.5 (and got considerably lower than that usually) and was in three skate-offs anyway

I think she was brilliant and it drives me crazy that the only reason the public didn't warm to her was because she's not a size zero! Never mind that she was clearly the most technically talented female skater, (and let's not pretend Robin doesn't know what he's talking about). Never mind that she's recovering from a broken neck. Never mind that she's got a lovely personality.

Never mind all that - she's not a size 0 because she has the body of a professional skier and she's not a 5' 0 bimbo who looks cute on the ice. Therefore she can't win in the eyes of the 'great' British public. Pathetic.

Also the number one reason, she's not a soapstar. Plus her partner's not as popular as the other professional skaters and also I guess the 'great' British public don't like her because they consider her "posh"

Oh, like Zaraah who finished third, and Chico (probably) who's rated as one of the best contestants ever by a large chunk of this forum?

22.5 was a pretty fair score in the last series as well, where only Laura and Sam were regularly ooutdoing that sort of mark. Jeff was far better than he was given credit for - like Jen, he was a bit of a late bloomer, but unlike Jen, he didn't have the fanbase to assist him

That said I'd probably give the accolade to Danny Young, who was incredibly unlucky to go out in props week after really starting to get the hang of great, entertaining skating.

Most female skaters are petite, so build does make a difference. Shemmy was not a graceful skater. People who dance are better equipped to do well in these competitions. Like Sharron Davies, another brilliant athlete, Shemmy looked a bit clumsy on the ice. Her lines were not very good, nor was her use of arms. Whether this was a consequence of her injury, or the fact that she's not naturally graceful, I don't know- she even said herself that she didn't really know how to do "sexy"

Oh come on Chemmy is far far better than Sharron. And I think she did improve her finesse & perfrmnce whilst on the show, although she was never going to compete with Jen & Jorgie in that respect. I guess it depends what you prefer watching but for me I will always favour the skating on this show - seeing trained dancers display what they're trained to do is a bit 'meh' for me. Yes Jen looks lovely but her skating isn't really up to standard although she has improved. Of course if the trained dancers can ally this with great skating that's another matter.
