Could Jen win ?
She's never been in the skate-off. She might go through to the final instead of Chico.

I think she will go through instead of Chico, yes - but I don't think there is a chance in heck that she'll win. 3rd place will go to her.

i cant rememeber, who decides third place the public or the judges. If its the public then she could win. Would be wrong but she could do it.

I think she is within a chance of the final, but overall I don't think she will win.

They've made sure she can't win now with their twist.
Even if she tops the public vote next week the judges will send her home |

No way will she win - she will almost certainly be bottom of the leaderboard next week. To avoid the skate off she would need to top the votes & that won't happen. As we have seen in previous years the voting in thesemi final always becomes sane & any weak links like Coleen, Johnson, Emily etc. leave and it will be the same next week with Jen. Whoever isn't safe from Matt/Jorgie will top the public vote next week.

This is like EXACTLY the same as last year!
Laura and Sam front runners but had both been in the bottom 2 up to semi final night. Chloe an outsider (improved greatly) and peaked at top of the leader board hadn't been bottom 2. She wasn't as strong as Sam and Laura. However, Chloe had to skate on her own in the semi, which showed the weak skating. This year, they dont do that. So, i think Jennifer could go through to the final! And, if she continues to keep improving her score whilst jorgie's scores are decreasing, then she could make top 2. Its all down to likability as well. Suzanne and Chris for example. Chris better skater. Suzanne more like-able. Jennifer is probably the most likable right now (hasn't been b2 before, obviously big support as she consistently near the bottom of the board)! Im going say, she stands a VERY good chance! |

I think if Jennifer could just gain a little more confidence she'd beat Jorgie and Chico hands down. She's the only contender apart from Matt who has shown a little refinement in her performances. With a little more practice she'd make a wonderful skater.

It will be tough. It's very hard to get into the final if you are bottom of the leaderboard on semi-final night. The top person will go through by rights, which won't be her. So out of three, and assuming she gets the lowest score, she'll have to get more votes than the other two, and probably also hope that the person top of the leaderboard gets less votes than the person in the middle. It's late, but I think that's the only possible way she can avoid the skate-off.
This is also the stage when the public take voting much more seriously, and vote for the ones that are the better skaters. It's not fair to blame her for getting this far. She has outlasted better skaters, but on a week by week basis, she's never been bottom with the judges, not even this week, although I do think she was very lucky to score above Jorgie. |

But how much of it is it to with Dan being her partner, given his fanbase and her background are they not at a. Unfair advantage, that is why i would like to see Dan get a Christine hhamilton, someone who would not be nailed on to get the votes

She has over 79,000 twitter followers Dan just over 29,000 so who has the bigger fanbase? somehow I think its Jennifer from those figures. Unfair advantage well Jorgie must have an unfair advantage too then since she has Matt who also has a pre existing fanbase and she has a similar background so does she have an unfair advantage? You also keep insisting you want him with someone older or basically useless make up your mind people here slate his partners for not being good enough but then moan he always gets good partners you can't have it both ways. He had Kerry last year for example hardly the best and most liked person in the world. I wouldn't say any of his other partners have been outstandingly brilliant but have proven themselves well enough to stay in on their own merit IMO. |

No. On the leaderboard, she will be fourth. To get a place in the final, this would have to happen:
Name - Leaderboard - Public - Total A - 1 + 2 = 3 Jennifer - 4 + 1 = 5 B - 2 + 3 = 5 C - 3 + 4 = 7 You could change B's and C's public vote around, but it's not relevant. That's the only outcome in which she'll avoid the bottom two, I think. There might be another possible outcome, but I don't think so. Basically, she'll have to top the vote, and I don't think her fanbase is as big as Jorgie's who I think has topped the vote every week. Does anyone know if the fourth placed skater in the semi final has gotten into the final before? Edit: Just realised I've done the points the wrong way round, but it still gets the same end result, so doesn't really matter. |

I don't think it has ever happened, but I've not kept notes each year. I just think that by that stage, all of the skaters are fairly popular with the public, and the public are voting much more for best skaters than for their favourite personality, and there are people voting for the first time etc. We can assume Jen has a bigger fanbase than Chico, but Jorgie and Matthew have never been in the skate-off, so Jen would need a bigger fan-base who can out-vote the casual votes for Jorgie AND Matthew.

Bear in mind though that the vote will only be split three ways rather than four because one person is being put through by the judges so its possible that either Jennifer or Chico will pick up extra votes that way.
4th on the leaderboard has never gone through although in series 5 Kieron and Daniella were tied on the same score so that could have gone either way. However in previous years there has also been more of a gap between the scores on the leaderboard this year that is less so. However at the moment we do not know who is generating the majority of the public votes Chico obviously isn't getting as many as he ended up in the skate off but of the other three we don't know who is bringing in the biggest public share. I would think Jennifer is getting a large amount of those as she has been lower with the judges each week and has been getting through. Jorgie has obviously had enough to get her through this week but again how much will have been down to public support in previous weeks or as a result of the judges marking her highly. I would like to see Jennifer make the final and depending on how many public votes she manages to pull in she may just manage to do it. Then its all down to how much the public like the finalists. Everyone thought Bonnie would walk the final in series 1 but the public didn't want that so it may go that way again. |

Chico is clearly not pulling in the public votes at the moment if Jennifer gets a lot more than whichever two are through to the public vote with her then she could go through to the final and I think because people on here are so anti Jennifer it is assumed everyone else is.
Remember you are taking out the top of the leaderboard so its between three of them and if the public vote enough for her more so than the others then yes she could overtake the other two and avoid the skate off. Never assume anything on this show. |
