A friend received a message on a TMobile PAYG which says

"You ordered a service from 80039 which cannot be delivered as you have insufficient credit on your phone
Please topup to receive the service."

The service wasn't ordered (whatever it is), the moble is only used for emergencies and he's now frightened to put more credit on the phone in case this 80039 starts charging.
From a little research they appear to charge £1.29 per message

I'm useless with mobiles too so advice is needed

I had very similar spam texts last night. DO NOT REPLY because that puts u on a suckers list and they will know the number is active!! Just leave it and it will stop. also forward the messages to the carrier spam team. the number is 7726

Did the message actually come from the shortcode. If so replying "stop all" should work in this instance. The spam messages that want you to reply just to see if the number is active normally come from a standard mobile number and not a shortcode.

There is some information on the people who use the shortcode in question HERE

An e-mail was sent to the address given in the link and within minutes a message was received on the mobile stating:
"The subscription has been terminated. You will not receive further messages"

Success - hopefully

Many thanks
