You can't state that as a fact, though - that's only what you think (and probably anyone else who doesn't like Louie) so it's hardly evidence.
DS is by no means an accurate reflection of the feelings of all viewers of DOI, but they are the only views from which I can extrapolate some theories.
The overwhelming consensus seems to be that the adverts, and over-long shows with too much 'filler', not enough skating and, possibly, the calibre of the celebrities (or lack thereof!) are the prime reason why viewing figures are so low.
It's rarely as simple as one person being solely responsible for a show losing viewers. Let's be honest, lots of people turned off after the mid-season Jason debacle last year and some of them haven't returned (the show having lost them by not acting soon enough to get rid of someone who turned into a parody of a panto villain but without the humour). On the other hand, some haven't returned BECAUSE Jason hasn't returned! Many others don't like Christine Bleakley, either as a presenter or as a personality, and some find her accent (which she can't help, obviously) a bit like nails down a blackboard (I'm one of them, I'm afraid

). Others miss Holly Willoughyby and her 'assets', some find Philip Schofield too smug and 'shouty' for his own good, whilst others are bored with T an D's choreography and dislike the current crop of pros. They are all personality issues, but none of them on their own are repsonsible for the drop in viewers.
But probably all of them put together aren't as off-putting for viewers as what the programme format has become - that is, too many adverts and too much filler. If people can't be bothered to sit through the show to start with then it doesn't matter two hoots who is on it! IMHO of course!
