Songs you love but can't listen to
Are there any songs which you love but can't listen to because of emotional feelngs ?
I love Dolly Partons' original "I Will Always Love You", and Gilbert O'Sullivans' "Alone Again Naturally", but I just fill up when I hear them ! |

In the first weeks after my father's death, I couldn't bear to listen to 'The Living Years'.
I can now though but I see where you are coming from. |

I completely wiped my Ipod recently because it was full of songs that remind of someone I just broke up with.

I feel that way about a whole host of songs because of different painful events. Some of them I can listen to again, others just make me break down when they come on
![]() Bette Midler - Wind Beneath My Wings Josh Groban - You Raise Me Up The Frey - How To Save A Life Daniel Merriweather - Red James Blunt - Goodbye My Lover - Decided to put this one on again just to see the effect: I can't see the screen through the tears lol. I am normally a very positive person lol! |

High and Dry - Radiohead ( love this song but it reminds me of a terrible time in my life)
Dosed - Red Hot Chili Peppers (reminds me of someone who I liked very much, we no longer speak to each other now) And many more |

Simply Red - Stars.
Gnarls Barkley - Crazy. BoomTown Rats - RatTrap. Hollies - He Ain't Heavy,He's My Brother. Plain White T's - Hey There Delilah. All bring back not nice memories, but great songs nonetheless. |

Christina Aguilara - Beautiful (personal low self esteem issues, never thought i was good looking enough, brings it all back)
Jessie J - Who You Are (again, low self esteem, just burst out in tears when i listen to it) Lady Gaga - The Edge Of Glory (when we were driving to the crem for my auntys funeral, the song came into my head, and burst out in tears) Leona Lewis (Oasis) - Stop Crying Your Heart Out (again it reminds me of death) On a lighter note... Girls Aloud - Love Machine, i end up proper dancing to this, like even if im in the street, i will get up and dance and mime the words... |

Wonderful World - James Morrison. I will never be able to listen to this song, a friend of mine sang it 2 days before she committed suicide. I still believe that she chose that song for a reason, it wasn't random.
