If any other celebrity had of got a 6.5 there wouldnt of been that big of a fuss but somehow it seemed the whole night revolved around poor jorgie and that little mark ? .. and then we hear next week the top of the leaderboard goes automatically through .. does that mean jorgie got sympathy vote this week and next week she just happened to come back on form .. or maybe 'thats the jorgie we know and love ' .. an excuse to be top and automatically through? .. dont hate just appreciate the thought and what do other think ?x

If Matt would've got a 6.5 the backlash would've been worse. At the end of the day T&D stuffed up and IK just want to forget last night's horrible show and look forward to the ultimate skill's test next week.

I do think that a mountain is being made out a molehill over Jorgie's mark. But i'm going to wait to see what happens next week first afterall how do we know Jorgie will get the automatic spot. It could very easily be Matthew.

If it did happen to Matt everybody would be saying he deserves but because it happened tpo Jorgie everybody is having a big old moan about how she was hard done by.

By the way I got to admit even though Jorgie isnt one of my favourite she didnt deserve a 6.5 I think her routine deserved about 8.0-8.5. For me Matt was the best yesterday and did deserve to be top of the leaderboard.

I think you're right. Some Jorgie fans admitted they were disapointed in that performance for whatever reason, but others would have defended her no matter what. I bet if Matthew had been in that position people would have laughed their heads of because he is supposedly "arrogant".

I agree and I don't think Matt is arrogant for me he is the complete opposite.

Not this Jorgie fan, Matt and Jorgie are my 2 favourites. I don't do arrogance, I do performance.

I doubt if anything was set up in Jorgies favour, if it had been, she would have had higher marks.

I think Louie was being genuine when he said he didnt see the flair in her performance, and I think, personally, hes right. I dont think thats Jorgies fault in particular. Much more to do with the whole idea of a ribbon twirling gymnast in a circus set up, where every other particpant had a genuine circus act to fulfill, with many props. Had they used more imagination and done the same with Jorgies routine we would have had something comparable to everyone else, which may - or may not, have gone in her favour. I blame T &D and to a lesser extent Karen for that. They are the coaches and choreographers, they choose what the routine will be, music and props. Personally, I felt Jorgies routine was lacking not because of her inability to make it look good so much as every bit of her concentration was on controlling the ribbon, which is why Louis didnt see such a "performance". I hope people "get" where Im coming from?

This thread is ridiculous. Jorgie gets called 'boring' and 'no entertainment' and 'not the skills we're used to seeing..what happened?' and you think this was to favor her?!? What a joke...

If she stood in the centre of the rink picking her nose some of her fans would maintain she did it with grace and artistry.

In this parallel universe is anyone saying anything as hilariously delusional as "Robin believed it was only worth 5.5 but caved in because Christine looked at him funny"?

Jorgie's routine was far from my favourite on the night - I thought the 2 skate offs were the most exciting - but I was impressed by the fact that T&D choreographed a routine that had a female lead and then gave that routine to a female celeb! They must have an awful amount of confidence in Jorgie's ability to trust her with that and I think she carried it off with aplomb.

And yes, I am aware that the male celebs "lead" by default, but very few of them are actually leading. Even Chris Fountain, who is something of a minor god on this forum, was unable to lead Frankie. Poor girl spent all her time out of hold (and some of in-hold) trying to catch up to/keep up with him.

I don't hate Jorgie at all. I could never see the sense in the energy required to hate some bit player in a reality TV show.

I don't like her hyperventilating er...er...er and even when she does string more than a couple of words together we're subjected to the breathless, little girl persona.

I do think she has shown talent although I don't think she's been the best female skater. Chemmy would take that accolade. Nor do I think she's the best performer. That title would go to Jen, but second best skater and second best performer probably makes her best overall female.

I certainly wouldn't start a thread such as "Who is voting for Jorgie and why?" or "Get Jorgie Out." And if anyone started such a thread I wouldn't post on it.

My attitude to the winner has never wavered throughout all series of DOI. To trot out the clichés:

He who pays the piper calls the tune.
Put your money where your mouth is etc.
So while I've often been disappointed with the DOI winner I've never questioned the right of the public to decide the winner.

Thus no bitterness or bile to interfere with my digestion although I must confess that both my pot (Le Creuset) and kettle are a sophisticated black that fits very well into my black and white kitchen.

Some of the conspiracy's on this forum are actually hilarious!
How on earth does putting someone at the bottom of the leader board and putting them in danger of potentially been sent home favor Jorgie?

I think to say "don't h**, just appreciate the thought" is a bit rich after showing such an.. I'll call it "lack of appreciation" of any particular contestant...

The whole thing did feel a bit scripted - not necessarily to favour Jorgie (even though she probably benefited from it) but to spark controversy and get everyone talking - which hasn't happened as much this year because of Jason's absence (not that I'm complaining he's gone!).

Jorgies routein was boring, and I dont think it was set to show her off at her best end of, it was a gamble that did not pay off but made a lot of phone money I bet. I think Robin bottled it and increased his vote.

I congratulate Louie for having the bottle to mark it for what it was worth and hopfully Jorgie will be given a worthy routein on saturday and open the game up again otherwise its is Chicko & Matt and neither will look good in a purple tutu

Chico will probably wear a pair of purple speedo's . which is fine by me and all the more reason to hope he gets through to the final (although I feel he's worthy of a final place on his skating abilities alone)
