Thank goodness Jen has gone, now we can look forward to a great final with the 3 best skaters left in the competition. I love Jorgie but I acutally don't care who wins now that Jen won't.

What a nasty bitter attitude to show. IIRDC aren't you are one of those who claim that there is no hate towards Jennifer on here yet you come out with that sentiment.

I really truly despair of what some posters here seem to think constitutes not being hateful or spiteful as they seem to be showing rather a lot of it while claiming to not hate someone.

Really, Chemmy was more deserving of a semi-final place, and Jen was the weakest last night. She deserved to go; but I did like her routine 2 weeks ago, very elegant, good skating.

I am not being 'hateful', just saying that she didn't deserve to be in the final. The other 3 are streets ahead of her and they all deserve to be there. She has been overmarked so any times it was embarassing.
I have nothing against her, just her skating.

She did indeed and why the judges gave it to her 3-0.
From what I saw it was Matthew who messed up, big time.

Reading the posts it certainly doesn't sound like you have nothing against her bar the skating. Your posts and several other posters come over in relation to Jennifer as being especially critical and IMO from reading them it does not always come across as merely because she was a weaker skater.

She was certainly not overmarked so many times. If anything the judges have been harsher in her scores and criticisms than some of the others. With others routines when there has been a small stumble or a slip its barely been acknowledged but with Jennifers the judges pounce on that and make it the focus of the feedback.

Had she been getting overmarked her scores would have been higher than the others most weeks then you might have had just reason to complain.

He did after all do the dreaded Headbanger, not a 'floating spin'

I have nothing against Jen, she seems a pleasant enough young lady. I was not enamoured with her skating skills, do you understand this. I have not called her nasty names, I have just said that she is the worst of the 4 and deserved to go. That is a fact, everyone agrees, the judges, everyone, well apart from you.
It will now be a great final with the best 3 skaters. I cannot wait.

Did the judges call it a headbanger, did T & D? The point is that Mathjew totally messed it up yet people on here still continue to decry Jorgie who did a brilliant job on the night, headbanger or no headbanger.

I love how you state that everyone agrees. Have you surveyed every single person who was watching the show last night? I hardly think the opinion of DS posters constitutes the entire thoughts of the 7million odd viewers of DOI and those actually voting and I wouldn't say every single person on here agrees either.

Matthew messed up his Headbanger and Jorgie messed up her Float spin. That aside, yes, they did indeed do a great job. All finalists are thoroughly deserved.

OK, anyone who knows anything about ice-skating agrees.

Do not make assumptions about people you know nothing about please. You are automatically assuming just because I refuse to conform with the anti Jennifer views that I know nothing about skating when actually I have been following skating for years including "proper" skating comps etc so yes I know about ice skating.

That does not mean I have to agree with anything anyone else puts on here or that because I don't agree that I know nothing.

I have seen the progress in her skating over the weeks and IMO she has not been overmarked and her scores improved because she has improved and my preference would have been for her to be in the final. I will also say that had Jennifer and Dan not suffered the injuries at the beginning and had T&D actually put a bit more thought into their choreo then IMO things may have been a lot different.

I am perfectly entitled to say that I would have preferred her in the final as I do not especially like any of the final three. At a push I would have preferred Sebastien and Jennifer in the final and either Sam or Chemmy that for me would have been an interesting final.

I'm going to have to disagree, sorry. I am all for the best skaters being in the final but to say that only people who know anything about ice skating would want that final is bull. One of my favourites from last year was Johnson Beharry and he certainly wasn't one of the best skaters. Jennifer was the best performer by a long shot and her skating was coming along nicely. I was sad she left because she was my favourite female performer after Chemmy left. You can like people for things other than the skating skills. Also by that way of thinking Jorgie wouldn't be able to win as she isn't the best skater of the three.

Yes, you can have your opinion and I can disagree with it. I just happen to think most would agree that Jorgie is better than Jen if they are truly honest.

Skating skills yes.

Performance, grace, elegance and artistry a definite No.

And btw saying "I think the best 3 are in the final" is an acceptable expression of your opinion. Saying

smacks of gloating.

Nothing like kicking the girl when she's down.
