I really dont wanna go to Hyde Park....

Thats my only problem. Standing is no problem as Ive been to The O2 before but Hyde Park is just way too big and if I'm at the back, I won't be able to see a thing...

I've never seen Madonna before and I would really love to go but £80 is a lot of money for 1 ticket which I won't even be able to see her properly.

Bearing in mind, in a park, people are gonna be camping so they can be at the front. I've never had to camp before, and don't plan to. I usually turn up early on the day.

So I just need some advice, is it really worth it for me or should I just hope and pray that she announces dates at Londons O2?

I managed to get Gold Circle tickets but if I didn't then I personally wouldn't. I'd rather watch it on YouTube than spend £77 plus travel and accommodation and spending money when you can barely see anything. Unfortunately I'm not convinced she will add another UK date this year but don't be surprised if she does a second leg next year

The problem with Hyde Park is that all the hotels are sold out for the Olympics and Diamond Jubilee.

There is like no where to stay..

It would have been wiser for them to do London towards the end of September.

Madonna gigs tend to be latest album heavy. So you might as well wait 2 weeks on the album. If you like the album go for it.

I have never been a gig in Hyde Park some say it's good some not. The tickets that are left are general admittance so there will be around 10 000 people in the gold circle infront of you.

Edinburgh still has tickets and it's a stadium gig which might give you a better view than Hyde Park. Or if money is not tight there are some gigs in arenas in Amsterdam, Barcelona and Colonge (my arena gig this tour) still on sale.

I managed to find a hotel easy within walking distance to Hyde Park and that was on Expedia if you do decide to go and it was a very reasonable price also.

I watched "I'm Going To Tell You a secret" and the gig she did in Ireland for the Re-Invention Tour looked to me what Hyde Park will be like.

One thing to bear in mind is the atmosphere. It will be electric. Everyone is dancing and singing. I am going to Hyde Park as I really love her live. I realise my view will be restricted but it will be a great night out, there will be video screens and the atmosphere will be fantastic. I also managed to book a hotel for a hundred quid for two people including buffet breakfast. It's not something you would do everyday. Also, how does anyone know Hyde Park will be crap if they don't go? It might be fabulous!

well i did explain my reasons in a different thread. i travelled to london with a friend the last time i saw madonna live. i went to see her at the o2 and my friend went to a gig in hyde park which was coincidentally on the same day. being the confident person my friend is, he managed to get right to the front by the stage, despite arriving about an hour before the show.

having seen the footage from that day and he way he described the experience. i can make an informed opinion that the venue probably isn't for me. if i am going to shell out the best part of 200 quid in hotel bills and travel arrangements excluding the ticket. then it is important to me that i am going to enjoy the event as much as possible.

Yes. There were 80,000 people in the audience!

They sold 50,000 tickets so temporarily closed the bookings. They now have a further 15,000 tickets to sell. (Apparently).

I wonder what Madonna's largest one-night audience was on tour...

I think it was in Italy back in 1987 with 87,000 people!

Oh wow, I bet that was painfully loud!
