I was leaving Vodafone for O2 with a Sensation XE.

Vodafone now coming back and offering me a great deal on the Sensation (not XE).

As far as I can see, the only difference is the Beats Audio, maily the same phone elsewhere.

I am still on the fence whether to go to O2 or stick with Vodafone. Anyone any opinions on the 2 Sensations and whether the Beats Audio makes a great deal of difference?

The XE has a faster processor, bigger battery, beats audio plus ibeats headphones which are a huge step up from the usual junk supplied.

What are the deals you're offered?

The differences are:
- processor clocked slightly faster on the xe. However the sensation can be tweaked to the same speed.
the battery on the xe is better. However, you can buy an anker 1900 battery from amazon which is much better than the sensation xe's for both phones.
-The xe comes with beats headphones and an equalizer setting. However, the sensation can have power amp which has better equalizer settings and makes a standard pair of headphones sound better than the beats.
- the xe comes with a beats back cover witb a red speaker grill.

All in all, the sensation xe is just slightly better, but its nothing a bit of tweaking on the original sensation Can match. I'd go for the original sensation if it was much cheaper than the xe deal.

E.g if you were getting 500 mins, unl texts & 750mb data for say £20 with a free sensation, I'd go for it

Just upgraded from my HTC Hero to a HTC Sensation, wasn't interested in the Beats nonsense and so far, I love my original Sensation.

Getting 600 mins, u/l txts and 500 mb date for £15.50 with a free handset - not a bad deal I thought - just going to go for it I think.

That's a really good deal, are you sure its not a refurb or something? What's the prices on the xe?

If you go for the sensation, buy the anker battery from amazon. The stock battery is pretty bad, just read all the good reviews on amaon about the anker

I'd go for an xe normally. But with it having beats colour/branding blah blah, think I'd pass and stick with the sensation

Its meant to be £36 a month but cos I cancelled my contract, it was the "try and stop you leaving vodafone" team that called my up and offered it to me.

I will check the battery out on Amazon, cheers

Excellent deal. Go for it. I really recommend that battery, its worked wonders on my sensation.

Btw, if you plan to Listen to music a lot then I recommend power amp as well. Its a great app which allows you to tweak the audio settings just the way you like them. Its better than the beats audio settings.
