sony blu ray s380 volume control no effect
Thyt's it - just bought this blu ray player, it works fine, but volume control and mute has no effect - seems odd - any ideas/ suggestions?

Page 25 of your manual. It controls the actual volume of the TV speaker, not the volume output of the player. You need to program the remote control to work your brand of TV

ah. so not like my other devices where the sound is controlled at source. thanks for that info, suspect i would not have found that myself!

Just out of curiosity... what other devices do you have that change volume 'at source'?
