If the press is to be believed that Verity said that she'll be talking to Simon in the next few days regarding a record deal then she's just as gullible as I expected her to be. Just because she sang slightly better last Saturday compared to her out of tune singing the 1st time doesn't mean she's all of a sudden this "big star" that I think she thinks she is! And Simon has contributed to her delusion of grandeur. tsk !

Sorry but Verity as nice as she can be perhaps in an almost overacting way, is really past her sell by date and best spend her time to continue teaching her pupils with an added curriculum on "How to Ignore your Husband & Follow Your Dream".

I do really feel sorry for Verity....imo, Simon did give her a lot of false hope with this competition, a lovely lady she may be, and also a good singer - but she didn't really have the x factor, and I couldn't see her selling very many records, she's a lovely woman though and much as I doubt Simon would give her a record deal, I hope she finds some kind of career in music and is happy!

I don't feel sorry for Vee at all (hard bitch that I am!). I just think that you can't make judgements about her life, her choices and whatever and think awwwwww.

Vee doesn't 'deserve' this last opportunity just cause it was 'someone else's' fault that she didn't make it before.

I do not buy this big sob story. I'm not saying it's not true and choice is relative to constraint, but there is choice, nevertheless.

I just do not see what Vee (or even Ro's) past has to do with this, unless you're looking to hook the pity vote.

How would YOU feel if you were getting opportunities on more than just merit as it stands? I wouldn't like it.

*Forgive me, Sal, thms and Vee lovers*

Never

In her defence, I don't recall her ever saying that she 'deserved' this chance - other people may have said so but that's their opinion and not hers. I also think it highly unlikely that she managed to get herself into the last nine from an original god knows how many thousands without some modicum of talent.

LOL awwww Zip! You're forgiven although I don't think you said anything bad and you're certainly not a hard bitch (tsk! language! ), I'm not a Verity lover, I think Simon took her too far, and I just felt sorry for her cos he made her believe she could do it when really she wouldn't be able to cut it in the music industry!......I hope she does get some kind of career that makes her happy, maybe the odd gig here and there? Don't think she'd sell records though...

***Edit edit edit***

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ZIP! Many happy returns! Hugs!
