Ate it yesterday for the first time on recommendaton and it was so bland, even with 2 strawberrys added. It was a long wait until lunch and something that I liked. Any suggestions as to how I could improve it?.
Thanks
Zoe

Stir through a spoonful of jam or golden syrup, or add some fruit compote.

Butter, brown sugar, caramelized diced apple and cinnamon.

Spoonful of peanut butter and banana slices stirred in whilst hot.

Crumbled crispy bacon and maple syrup.

Agave syrup and a load of mixed berries.
fresh raspberries added just before it's finished (frozen ones are great too, but add them earlier). A muller corner or yoghurt emptied on to it when finished is great as well

If you can mix your porridge and milk before cooking it makes it really creamy, even just 10 or 15 minutes before, but if you can leave it overnight. Once it's cooked through I mix in blueberries and a bit of honey, very tasty.

This morning I added blueberries to mine. Match made in heaven in my opinion.

You can also add dried fruit, soak them in some water in the fridge overnight first if you prefer them plump. Stewed spiced apple and sultanas is nice.

I love berries in my porridge but I agree with the previous poster, 2 strawberries is nowhere near enough.

In my experience porridge is something you either love or think is a waste of time. In my case I love it but know plenty of people that don't.

Yes, agree that just two strawberries is not enough! I love porridge with blueberries. Maple syrup is good too.

I like adding dried fruit to mine - raisins and sultanas in particular

Sliced up banana is nice

And cinammon is also a great flavouring as seen by so many recommending it.

Add a pinch of cinnamon and cook the porridge oats with oat milk (lovely and creamy). Great with fruit - especially blueberries, banana, apple and strawberries.

Salt added when cooking, then a sprinkle of sugar when in the dish, plus cold milk of course
