4th last week but they're in the least popular category now and got a sympathy vote on saturday but in all fairness they deserved it

7th last week but I thought she was too cocky then but i hear people saying she's got it in the bag well i think after her last preformance she's going to have to pull her socks up. it won't be an easy ride

Did you know that the order Kate reads them out in is the ACTUAL order most to least votes. I know sumone who works behind the scenes on it and the computer gives the names in order from most to least, which the television director then feeds through and earpiece to Kate. There would be no time to make up an order for the results as the lines close seconds before they are read out.

An insider who works at ITV has already posted that the order in which Kate reads the results out is entirely random. They are hardly going to give the game away about who stands the best chance of winning this early in the competition.Both Pop Idol shows had no trouble with the reading of the results in a random order after the phonelines had only just closed so I dont think X-Factor will find it too difficult especially when there may be a good few thousand seperating some of the acts.

Hmmm...but in that case why doesn't Kate say they are entirely ramdom, like they always have done in other similar shows? ...and they were going on about G4 being in the bottom three ....so the third from last at least seems to be in order read out.

I have to agree, there is no way they want us to know how people are doing in the voting. That will make people complacent about voting for their favourite if they are getting the most votes.

I may be wrong but, I don't think it was made clear that G4 were in the bottom 3. They were just the last group to be called safe. Remember Susanne in PI2?

I agree it was the impression we were given. I'm just not sure it was a fact. We were given the same impression about Susanne in PI2 and later when the voting figures were released it was not the case.

....you are totally correct - completely random. Think back to Pop Idol 1 - Will was, on 2 occasions stood with the bottom 2 of the week - so I very much doubt that he had polled the least votes 2 weeks running - he would never have won. What Kate needs to say is that the names are read out in no particular order.

As happened on PI1 it could well be that one of the favourites was placed with the final 2 just to increase the tension.
