One Direction - The Today Show

Just saw the amount of fans that turned up to see them on The Today Show. Unbelievable. It is also believed that they had more fans than Justin Bieber who only had around 3000 fans. I think they'll definately crack the american market. I must say Zayn has improved so much and is by far the best singer. His vocals on More than this was unbelievable.

Vocals were generally okay, but Harry's were absolutely dire!
Here's the performance for anyone who missed it: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/ne...wds-video.html

Harry just needs to work on his breathing technique because he can actually sing reasonably well. He just gets breathless quickly.

Definately but I also think his voice is changing, he's the youngest in the band remember. His voice has become a lot deeper since the XF.

His voice is probably saved in the studio...

I think that really only applies to the solo in what makes you beautiful which I would imagine is hard to sing as is quite a lot of words without taking a breath. The more than this song was superb.

Can I just also say how amazing Zayn's vocals are since the X factor when he was named the human echo. His vocals and confidence has come on in leaps and bounds. Liam as ever is dependable on the vocals and the other two IMO are hit and miss

That just shows one song which I agree wasn't brilliant but if you checked out the other two songs especially more than this which was superb. Will try and find a link

Their singing definitely isn't their selling point.

Haha, I knew I heard it somewhere... Goes back to some cheesy song by the Backstreet boys. I don't understand why they wouldn't just do a cover version of the previous.

It's dropped even further since just February. It's bloody deep now.

True, and I don't think he's used to it, and it shows. Same happened to Bieber. I think they must not having singing lessons during this time, which they should as changes won't affect your voice (ie Michael Jackson, Beyonce).

They would have people working on it if it were an issue. With Bieber they brought in a woman who was actually an expert on vocal coaching through voice breaking. One Direction are signed to Columbia in the US, they're big - they would get him the same to protect their investment.

I loved it when they sang more than this.

Yep same, a lot of people on many forums believe that it should have been a single instead of Gotta Be You. I kind of agree.
