I'm sorry...but would somebody explain to me why they think she is the most improved ?!
1) She still hasn't skated once on her own.
2) Her technical skating is pathetic (see ultimate skills on Sunday!)
3) Yes..her 'acting' and 'flexability' is impressive...but not nearly anything to talk highly about.

How has she improved dramatically? If anything...I'd say Chico has absolutely shown the greatest progression. Jennifer could have did Sunday's routine on the first show with no problems at all !!!!!

Jen is the most improved with the judges she started with 15.5 the first week and each week her marks have crept up with the judges and last week she got 24.5 which is a big increase from her week one score.
Are you trying to claim that 2 Olympic gold medalists know nothing about skating?? Yet you a mere watcher of a reality tv show are more expert to judge than them? Then why arent you on the judging panel seen as you know SO much about it.

Thats your personal opinion thankfully that does not make it true. The scores for a start dispute your opinion as she started on 15.5 and on Sunday got 24.5 so thats not an improvement? It is to the rest of us in the real world. A jump of 9 points over 9 weeks so she has improved by on average a point every week she has skated. That to me is showing consistent improvement and showing she has made the most progress. While other scores have also improved they all started off better than Jennifer and some have remained around the same scoring

However I have read your other posts and it is clear you are a blindly devoted Jorgie fan so you are looking to undermine Jennifer at any opportunity. Chico is not the most improved as he started out well and has remained at a good level with some improvements to the score. Overall though Jennifer has made the biggest improvements.

Also your argument that she has never let go of Dans hand well how did she manage to start several routines on her own or did Dan suddenly turn invisible and was still holding her hand. Or in this weeks routine did she suddenly grow extra arms to keep holding onto Dan as at various points she was holding the bucket and suitcases and not his hand so she must have done something to keep holding onto him

Also are you pyschic because you appear to have already seen Sunday's show and it hasn't happened yet? So how do you know her technical skills are rubbish you haven't seen them yet or if you have indeed had a true premonition of the show and not just your minds interpretation of it them please do share it with the rest of us mere mortals.

And F.y.i she has skated on her own, she stood up and span around Dan for at least 10 seconds at the start of the last routine, so that disproves point 1. In Point 2 you are stating something that hasn't happened, so there's a cross through that one. And Point 3 is a matter of opinion. So we can safely but a X through all of your points

Firstly Jorgie's fans have been saying since Sunday that she was only performing how T and D asked her too. So the fault should be blamed at T and D not Jorgie herself. So why should Jennifer get blamed in her situation. Surely she is also just doing what T and D ask her to as well. I think Jennifer has shown great improvement and was very impressed with her performance that she did to the Leona track. But if she took a backward step last week it was based on the routine she was given.

Also Sunday hasn't happened yet. So unless you can tell the future. Stop using an event that hasn't happened yet to prove your point. Afterall wasn't it Heidi the contestant who was considered the weakest last time who was the only one of the three to complete the skills tasks with no mistakes eventhough it proberly was to a weaker standard.

It's hard to tell how much Jen and Jorgie have actually improved as they still get carried around a lot by their male pros.
We'll just have to wait for the upcoming Ultimate Skills Test.

Interestingly, if it was based solely on improvement in points from Week 1, Chemmy would be the most improved, while percentage-wise it would be Andy.

Out of those that are left she probably is the most improved, in the sense that the others were all pretty good from the get-go, whereas she has gone from struggling and being not very confident to a better standard (for her) whilst not up to the technical standard of the others. Not that this implies they haven't improved, but improvements are probably less visible. Note I am only talking "technical" here and not performance wise.

This is where just occasionally the VTs are useful, as Jen was very clearly skating on her own in hers 2 weeks ago when they took her speed skating to try and speed her up. Thats what gave her the confidence boost, and whilst I agree the girls all tend to spend half their routines in lifts of one kind or another, that is T & D fault (and Karens) not the competitors - they dont make up the routines.
Similarly Rosemary - was slated for never being on her own, yet she went to a hockey rink before she got knocked out of the competition. If I had not seen that VT I probably would have thought she couldnt skate on her own, since despite the Judges commenting on it and wanting her to - her routine was again designed to be in hold 99% of the time by T & D.

I am getting a bit fed up now of people slating one skater because they have a favourite. I love Chicos exhuberance and personality, I think he has, for me, been the overall best entertainer week in week out, and has always given 100 per cent, even if not technically the best. But I dont dis-like Jorgie/Jen/Matt/Chemmy. In fact the only person I did dislike was Andy for his rather self inflated opinion of his own artistry. I have a favourite - Chico - but Im not about to run anyone else down.

I'm not a Jen fan either and would prefer Chico in the final but I agree, last week she did skate on her own and it was a really nice performance ... out of those left she has improved the most to me (Sam was the most improved skater IMO when he left)

It seems that Jen and Jorgie are the Chloe and Laura from last year where some fans of one tend to start threads to bash the other.

When Jorgie gets praise from the judges "they know their stuff."
They comment on Jen's improvement and it's "Nonsense."

Jen is given little skating in some routines and she's in for a hammering. No mention of T&D, the choreographers.
Jorgie's routine is bland and lack lustre and our national heroes (T&D) come in for a lambasting.

Jen gets low marks and it's "I trust the experts."
Jorgie suffers a similar fate and it's "Get Louie Out."

Conversely Jorgie gets a high mark and all the judges are experts in their field.
Jen gets a higher mark and it's "Get Louie Out."

I could never post or comment against Chico. Remembering he only came in as reserve and considering his previous image was so cheesy he's had to climb a mountain for acceptance by the DOI fans, but ..... I love Jen's artistry and although I'll concede that she'll need to pull out all the stops to progress into the final three both she and Chico can be assured of my votes this coming Sunday.

Obviously one of them must make the final three and whoever survives I'll hammer my phone for as long as it takes.

Not keen on bashing threads and tbh can't see the point of them. Does any DS poster think they can influence the result and/or other posters by urging them to "get (insert name here) out."

The only fans who'll take notice are the already fanatical.

If its anything like the SCD forum or the Big Brother forum, it will actually have the reverse effect to what the poster wants - ie people will start voting for their own favourite.

Jennifer has come a long way since the start of this series, her nerves and fear that everyone was laughing at her held her back at the beginingand its only in the last few weeks she has come into her own.
She is a beautiful skater and I love to watch her, she not likely to win it but well done her for having the courage to stick at it and overcome her demons!

I still find her SKATING skills poor - very poor...and watching her being dragged around the ice flaring her arms on a suitcase did not merit the marks she got. She could have did that routine on week 1...that is my point.

She was the most in need of improvement and she has improved considerably, though perhaps still not as much as she needed to.

Yes, I'll go along with this. She is just not good enough to make the final 3.

I thought that her routine this week in regards to skating content was poor .. but there again she had to skate with what she was given just like the others .. people seem to be saying that criticism of Jorgie this week is unfair as she didn't choose her prop or choreography .... when I suppose the same could be said for Jen (and any of the others .. I thought that Chico's props were poor and there wasn't much he could do with them but at least he got given a bit more technical stuff skating wise)

No problem...I agree with your opinion, but there is a big part of me that thinks Torvill and Dean has to do the best with what they have to work with. Personally, I thought Jorgie's routine was wonderful and T&D did a great job. Jennifer is not a strong skater, so they wouldn't choreograph a routine with a lot of skating. It's a bit 50/50 to who's at fault.

I'm not a fan of Jennifer's but she proved last week that she is capable of doing more skating than what she was given this week

I fear the 'skills test' on Sunday will prove otherwise...but we'll see

perhaps it will when compared to some of the others, all I was saying was that last week's performance showed that she was worth more skating wise than the routine she was given this week

seeing as you obviously don't rate Jennifer and would like her out this week then I very much doubt you "fear" what the skills test will prove

Gazb2 you are the one of the biggest operators of double standards I have seen on this forum. You are quick to drag Jennifer as far down as possible and pick at every single thing about her but yet if others apply the same situation to Jorgie then its a whole different ball game as one of the other posters have said.

Seems your turning it into a bit of a personal anti Jennifer vendetta IMO just because you are supporting Jorgie. Other fans on here of all the other skaters can manage to like and dislike others without having the major tantrums you have about Jennifer. I think it says more about a persons fans if they can actually support someone without having to resort to nitpicking at a competitor and set up anti threads against someone and give the reasons for the criticism is a constructive way which in the majority of your posts it isn't i.e "her technical skills are pathetic" Robin and Katarina clearly disagree or their scores for her would not have been increasing I use that as an example of something that is not constructive but merely said out of pettyness.

You can't apply your one rule to the one you dislike but then complain when others raise the same points about Jorgie and her routine not being that great. You say that T&D can only do the best with what they have well what does that say about Jorgies routine from Sunday as that in mine and a lot of others opinions wasn't exactly all that you seem to think it was? Maybe Jorgie wasn't as up to the challenge either then.

It suits you to blame T&D for Jorgie giving a poor performance but when it comes to Jennifer its all her fault. I would also love to have your psychic ability since your so sure of the results of Sundays show despite it still being five days away and anything can and does happen. While Jennifer may not top the judges leaderboard she could for all we know be topping the public votes and could make it into the final three.

Anyone of them could get caught out by the skills test, its not just a case of being able to execute them, they also have to remember to do them all.....look what happened to Seb!
