Internet & HTC Wildfie

Santa brought me a Wildfire and I have been using it to view emails / ebay for the past couple of months.

Not wanting to go over my allowance and not really knowing how many MB or GB general surfing would take up, I kept turning on 'mobile data' via the settings button whenever I wanted to go online.

The odd time, there would be no signal (a Tesco SIM is in the phone) but generally all was well.

I was talkinhg to the customer sevices dept and was told my 1GB would easily last a months, so there was no need for me to keep switching mobile data on and off.

Unfortunately though, I can not get online at all now.

I click mobile data (on) and never get a signal.

What could the problem be ?

many thanks

Well, 3G Watchdog will help you keep an eye on your data allowance, it's an application that you can download to your handset.

As for not getting a signal - is that recent? If so have you checked the O2 status checker for any problems? As Tesco run on the O2 network if O2 are having problems then more often than not that means Tesco will too.

Also, have you tried taking your sim card out, cleaning it, then putting it back in and switching your phone back on? That's probably the first thing Tesco would tell you to do if you rung them up anyway, so it's worth a try.
