R. I. P Moebius
I heard the sad news that this great French artist died recently.
I loved the mini-series of the Silver Surfer that he did with Stan Lee many years ago and lots of his other work. http://geekout.blogs.cnn.com/2012/03...ud/?hpt=hp_bn8 |

The notable thing about him was that he was pretty much the only comics artist still active* who had two completely different styles and actually worked under two names. Jean Giraud, who did the painstakingly realist western series Blueberry - using old photographs and his own travels to show 19th century America - and Moebius, the weird, wild, pyschedelic science fiction stylist.
* Yes I know Kirby and others did that back in the 50s and 60s |
