All of the ones you posted are lovely songs, nice to see her get some recognition on here.

Thought I would add one of my favourites.

Meet on the Ledge is also one of the great songs about mortality.

Sandy Denny was a real talent and I love Who Knows Where The Time Goes.

I've loved Sandys music for as long as I can remember.
The above choices are brilliant and both Quiet Joys of Brotherhood and Who Knows Where the Time Goes are haunting.

Pure slush but I think she gets away with it.

She wrote one of my favourite songs, 'By The Time It Gets Dark'. It was never on any of her albums and there are no proper studio recordings of it, just a few demos like this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HP1z9Ni7Tmg

Its also been covered beautifully by quite a few artists e.g. the Irish folk-singer Mary Blackhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MIikAcCHlmI and the alternative rock band Yo La Tengo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z0r901aH1eg

The Yo La Tengo version was the first one that I heard and it was through finding out it was a cover that I discovered Sandy Denny. Very glad I checked the album sleeve on that one.

there were several fantastic female folk/folkrock singers in the late 60's early 70's... sandy denny was one of the very best, beautiful voice...as has maddy prior, gaye woods, that girl from pentangle...

I know that all other Denny fans sneer at them, but I liked her slushy songs with big orchestral arrangements. I bought Rendezvous on vinyl about twenty-five years ago, but I only heard Full Moon recently http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtSb0mqIEhQ
I can't believe that anyone would decide to cut such a great track from the album.

I love Sandys slushy stuff, really I do but she's one of the few singers that can, along with Fairport and Fotheringay that I can lose myself in tales like.
