They've been quiet since Alex went away, not how it should be IMO but I guess they are preparing for the second single... all those promo days they've planned already.

I know....but other artists frequently get twitter trends so I think Alex should get some more...it raises awareness for her, especially with all the negativity on that site.

The people on the music forum love to hate and criticise Alex, I think the hatred will always be there despite how good her material is...it's just like that.

I'm not sure.....they make that girl look like she came last place in a drag queen contest....maybe dark purple would work for Alex but all those other colours looked nasty.

Urgh I know. They hate her, maybe cause she outperforms their faves vocally and performance wise. This is why she needs to go global. Sit on them haters.

Charity, or sport relief ones don't go anywhere. Leona got to #25 with Footsteps, and bundled with Better in time, it got to #2.

I like Alex but some of you do her no favours.

Moan about people hating on her new music/looks etc then mock JLS for a charity single reaching top 6.

I think you should be looking at the fact Katy Perry got a no1 tonight with no real promo and Alex couldn't. I don't even think Katy can sing well or the song is that great but she seems to have good faith from the UK buying market.

I don't think you should come in here just to try and cause a scene when you don't know the whole story.

People were only tracking JLS because a load of their fans were tweeting like crazy that JLS are the real winners and they will chart higher than Elephant etc...but of course they've now been proven wrong. It's got nothing to do with mocking JLS but rather their fans.

As for Katy, a) she's been out longer, b) she has a higher profile and c) she did promote on the Let's Dance for Sport Relief final which was viewed by quite a lot of people. Plus she's been played non-stop on radio.

Contrary to your misinformed opinion, Alexandra actually has extremely good support from the GBP considering Elephant broke the top 3 with virtually no radio support at all. She didn't have the same radio hype and promo as Katy, not to mention all the other obstacles the media threw in her way like the Tom Deacon fiasco and the Metro's constant slamming of her over something extremely stupid, so maybe next time you should think before senselessly attacking her fans in her appreciation thread.

I don't think it's a realistic comparison though. Katy Perry is a pop superstar at the moment. She might not have had any promo but she has massive and consistent airplay, and a really big fan-base.

If she released the alphabet in some obscure language, some people would buy it.

Alexandra on the other hand is starting from a less favourable position with much less airplay.

She got a top 3 hit despite this, which shows a great loyalty in her fans.
