HUMAX 9200T HD replacement

I have replaced the HD with a ST3160215ACE 160GB.
W hen I turn on the software appears to install the duovison sign appears then a message on the screen "please wait" it hangs and nothing happens..
I then reinstalled the original but now no record or scheduel option appears which means of course that I cannot format the HD, a games icon has mysteriously appeared.

The Games option usually only appears if the box has lost contact with the hard drive. So first thing is to double check it's all plugged up OK. If it is then the drive may be cream crackered, or the box is.

Thanks for the reply. The 160gb HD is brand new and is the model that Humax suggested would work but as I said all it show is "please wait".
Since posting my problem I have taken out the old HD 3 Times and on the 3rd occasion it loaded everything including the record facility which then gave me the opportunity to format the HD which I did. Afet carrying out an automatic search for channels BB1-BBC2 would not appear, however after continually searching several times they have now appeared and are working ok.So I am up and running on the old HD which had been coming up with all kinds of weird stuf.Recorded programs with wrong names, duplicated recordings, etc etc hence me trying a new HD... I am not very confident that things will work correctly for long buyt am really curious why the new HD just hangs on "please wait"....
