Hi peeps! Hope everyone has survived the celebrations! Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Day with gorgeous presents and plenteous food, and that today has been great for you as well.

I've had three days of entertaining and am pretty bushed so it's lovely to have some peace and quiet, log on here and see KK's latest pics and have a gentle thud

Haven't seen a great deal of Christmas telly as I've been looking after people......have managed to avoid any Downton 'spoilers'. Will have to catch up when I can! Yesterday was a bit traumatic for me as the medics had to be called to attend to my mum at her Home as she had had a fall But fortunately no bones were broken so on returning home we had a very late Christmas dinner!

It's Countryfile on the 25th of November. Matt is in Somerset, travelling on the West Somerset Railway. He also gets to try out his RNLI rescuing skills on Julia

It's a shorter show - only 43 minutes, but Matt clocks up an impressive 13 minutes and 40 seconds in the show!

Thank you SkyBlue for your kind thoughts re my mum, she seemed to be OK today when I and my daughters visited her. Besides a badly bruised hand, she has escaped any other injuries which is a miracle....

Looking forward to MrB on tomorrow's OS....shame they couldn't have made it an hour-long programme but a glimpse of the man will make us a happy band of sisters

Lovely tos on ice tonight, good selection of clips, matt looked great all wrapped up in his furry jacket, beanie and scarf. Nice bit of skating. Lucky alex, she got to put her arms around matt alot durung filming
The half hour went really quickly, they could have easily done a hour show.

Evening....yes was a lovely programme but far too short as we've all commented on Could have done without the longer VTs really, and had more Matt Would have been a nice cheap extra ½hour for the beeb in these days of cutting costs....oh sorry, I forgot about the big pay-offs

Matt looked lovely as usual....and the 'Dance at the Palace' was a lovely finishing touch. Next sighting of our man is the CF clip show on Sunday but will not be able to view as I'm likely to be doing the light fantastic at the first of several evening 'do's' over the NY period. I'll look forward to seeing it on my return......

Hope your Strictly Come New Year Dancing goes well but no backflips please was surprised how many of the VTs I hadnt seen - they must have been either Thudsday or Friday programmes.

AJ must be the weakest link in the skating stakes - no DOI for her anytime soon methinks CE was actuallly quite nimble.

Well I have still to see Ragley Hall in all its entirety but it is on again tomorrow lunctime so will catch then

Haven't seen TT on ice yet, have visitors plus I worked last night:sleep:
Hubby has taken visitors off visiting replies in South Wales, I managed the grand sum of 3 hours sleep before the postman knocked the door, he must think I'm awfully lazy, I'm always in my pjs!

That wasn't Chris skating . They only ever showed you him from the back so it was a professional

Absolutely terrible rating for the show last night though 19:30 - The One Show on Ice: 2.57m (11.2%). Up against Coronation Street and in the middle of a bad nights TV from the BBC...

Thanks KK for putting me right - thought it looked too good but didnt have my glasses on Must admit was not too impressed with the show apart from the lovely end. Tres classy

We have VTs on the failure of the flood protection scheme in Kempsey (Lucy Siegle), the school that invented the RIB - Rigid Inflatable Boat (Dan Snow), and photographing the Isles of Scilly (Jamie Crawford).
