Hello everyone, did you see David Walliams swim this afternoon.
I was sobbing and trying to iron at the same time. The BBC are so good at this. I fell in love with little Philip and it was so touching when David put his arms around that little boy! David, Matt and Helen are remarkable people taking on such demanding challenges!

My son bought me the biggest card ever and a huge box of chocs. He misses his granny as well. We both dived in for good measure ....delicious!

Now I am going back to have a longer look at the picture (thank you EMMA)

Hi Hayley I think Lotus meant Bruno Tonioli...

And that's why I like it when people use proper names on this thread - it can be confusing when it's just initials!

Lovely joe c on ct to start the day and

A brilliant cf tonight, lovely start with pawnies, matt in wellies and wadders in the new forest ponds,looking gawgus in his jumper and trews, the lovely mini segments, and the wonderful thud at the end

. looked great in his smuggler outfit, loved the laughing as they were trying to row the boat and not going anywhere, Naught julia getting the water police to pull them over, his face was so funny when they dragged him onto the police boat and getting matt put in handcuffs

fabulous.
Enjoyed the non matt bits as well, adam going to get some more chickens, the baby chicks were so cute

Rita good to hear your feeling more energetic today.

Well, that was an interesting Countryfile.

Nicely structured episode that did a good job of building stories - the ponds in the first half and boat building and smuggling in the 2nd half.

Loved the 1940s RAF officer look that Matt was modelling - the hair was superb and he has to be one of the few people who can get away with that jumper

. Clearly a bit chilly as I think he was still wearing it under the smuggler outfit at the end!

And I am impressed that Julia thinks the right thing to make a Happy Mother's Day is Matt Baker in handcuffs. Clearly the BBC know their viewing audience

Yes was lovely to see Joe Crowley!!! CF was so funny tonight after they got there rollacks stuck and were going round in circles a la coracle and the very naughty Julia having him put in irons after confiscating the contraband

A good evening tonight

I managed to see most of cf 'live' in the end as i'm now going to daughter's next week for a belated mother's day meal, younger daughter came for a meal instead! So I'll be missing cf next week unfortunately but there's always iplayer.

On to tonight's cf, didn't Matt look fantastic. The well-scrubbed military officer look plus waders, and then the smuggler's costume which really gave us cause to thud.

. Plus bonus handcuffs

Is everyone still on the floor.

I will be able to resume usual WMA duties tomorrow *breathes a sigh of relief* and back on DS a bit more.

CCM dear ladies, a chilly night ahead but thoughts of a dancing smuggler will induce warmth and happiness and sweet dreams. :sleep: xx

The final best of 2011 - it's December.

This month was a bit light as Matt had been on the Rickshaw challenge and the Christmas month does tend to feature clips shows too. But we had Matt in Loch Lomond on the 11th, and visiting Clifford Chambers for the Christmas Show on the 18th.

The One Show
It's the season of jumpers and wrapping up warm on the show. That's the effect of all those windows I guess

But it gave Matt a chance to dress up as a Christmas pudding and eat lots of food

I think we all expected it to be a bunch of boring VTs with tiny amounts of links from Matt and Alex. Instead it was great fun with Matt looking amazing, the present giving bits were fun. And most importantly they did actually mention Sleepgate, gave it a slot in the top 20, and came as close as they could to making it obvious what was meant. Lovely show

Oh what a beautiful morning oh what a beautiful day I ve got a wonderful feeling soemthing gawgus is coming my way and it has courtsey of Sky (and the usual goodies from KK of course yet to be digested)
In smuggler speak - Avast there me hearties!!!. Mb in handcuffs - wonder if they found the key before home time

or whether the naughy and irrepressable JB kept it hidden on her personage.

Twice now we have seen the going round in circles scenario - perhaps boat rowing lessons are needed

Lovely programme and Beaulieu/Bucklers Hard are in a part of the forest I know so well as BF lives near there, Not only from the MB perspective but the photography was stunning as well and the pawnies are all in their winter coats.

SG glad life is returnign to normality

(sort of).Will you get to see the SR mile on Sunday even if no CF until the next day.

Well have mowed the lawns,weeded the flowerbeds and now bodding off to work at 1pm.

6m for CF last night. Continues to do well, but most importantly percentage was 26.3% which is almost as high as when it got 7.14m recently. So all in all - excellent!

Yes, definitely not a bad rating given that it was the Dancing on Ice semi final. Held up really quite well.

Still amusing to see people whining over on Points of View mesage board at the bbc. Don't they get fed up with the repetitive "Blue Peter" and "Not an evening show" comments? If nothing else the ratings continually show how out of touch they are with the viewing audience...

But clearly they're right and we are all idiots for liking this stupid and pointless show with its annoying kids TV presenters

These serial complainers on the PoV messageboard drive me crazy. Somebody recently quoted the ratings over the past few weeks just to point out that it would be a mistake for the BBC to ignore these figures and instead follow the advice of half a dozen posters on that forum. Most of them though just like to say something that (they think) sounds clever. They perhaps haven't noticed that the Blue Peter reference has been done to death. They must enjoy complaining otherwise why not just switch channels? That's what I usually do if I'm not liking a programme. At the moment the target is Julia for having the gall to return from maternity leave and thus oust the wonderful (as she's suddenly become) Ellie from her job!

Afternoon ladies!

Fantastic viewing figures last night for CF. Just viewed it again and found it to be even more fascinating than the first time, spotting Mr B's delightful expressions and noting the smuggler's get-up in more detail.

As for POV I never have time to look there. I suppose you are always going to get people deriding a programme whatever it is. If they think it's Blue Peter'ish, then they should look for other programmes on the countryside. They won't find a better one.

Just seen that it's Holly Willou*by on the OS tonight. She's described as the presenter of The Voice. I think that's the difference between someone whose career is 'presenter' and someone like Matt who has had a diverse career and has earned the title. But it's not the be-all and end-all of his career, El Presidente has been fantastic in all that he has achieved and he will go on to do other great things in TV and in all his other current roles. As a lady recently said of his character 'He's a workaholic'. !!

Anyway, 'The Voice' as a programme is a bit of misnomer....there's only one voice that hits the spot.....

Off for a late walk and then to Mum's and then, hurrah, it'll be heaven at seven....

Well I don't know what the rest of you are up to, but I'm sitting in the very back of the freezer. Took me a while to unload it. I haven't had this sort of experience for some time and some idiot had loaded it up with food again. I'm safe now anyway, and not coming out for the foreseeable future.

I really, really wasn't expecting this. Had given up completely on the waistcoat issue - and I'm not even away, I'm here!

Doesn't he look just unbelievably, gorgeously, amazingly, superbly handsome. Thud.....

Speechless doesn't quite cut it

Twice in 2 days. Roguish, sailor Matt going round in circles after getiing his rollacks stuck and then out of the blue, no warning, no fans at the ready, no ice cubes in the bucket, no government health warning and wham bam thank you mam, it returns in all its glory, complete with skinny tie - its just too much to bear.

Luckily my freezer isnt too full (near payday) so have esconced myself on a nice comfy shelf .

Think I.m here for the duration, no hope for me. totally thudded into oblivion.

May be back later - depends if I can think sensibly

Perfect perfect perfect - cant remember much else really, some female guest and a cricketer trying to stick AJ to a wall for SR but my eyes were admiring the wonderful scenery

We have been so fortunate in having two delicious Matts on two consecutive days.

And didn't he look great tonight.....The Waistcoat: The Return.

. The hotness of Matt was palpable and I fear there was some injury to bakerettes tonight as people failed to thud correctly.

It was a very busy OS tonight, Holly didn't really get a look in,what with the vts and Freddie F trying to stick Alex to the wall. The OS continues its merry random way and we just go with the flow

Managed to catch up with a fair bit of Mattiness today and will save the latest pics for tomorrow, thanks as always KK for bringing us such a lot of pleasure.

Still have some stuff to complete so signing off a bit earlier tonight. CCM to one and all, it's been quite a week already.
