Hi all
Check out the link to tvguide below: http://www.tvguide.co.uk/actor.asp?actor=Matt Baker It said Matt is on Animal Rescue Squad on Channel 5, Channel 5 HD at 10am and Channel 5 Plus 1 at 11am on 3 June. You can watch it again on 6 June as well but I got to get back to work. I can't believe it. I never seen it before so I don't know what to expect Matt from the program but you see 3 of June 2012 is the Super Extra Mattful Day! ![]() ![]() We all know that Matt will lead the coverage of the Diamond Jubilee Thames Pageant alongside Huw and Sophie and we also have Matt covering Euro Gym Mens' Final Highlights plus Jubilee tribute CF on BBC.Also I noted that an hour the One Show will be kicking on 4 June at 6.30 which is quite important information for me. I am so pleased that there won’t be the local news at 6.30pm. I didn’t get the chance to see 6.30pm one-hour-non-Friday show last year when Matt and Alex came back from their holiday as cos if my local news (East Midlands) took over first half-an-hour. Tuesday 5 of June the OS is on 6pm so do check out your TV guide if you bought one. This Jubillee Pageant is really a step up to the big time now and not before time. Must be one of the hardest working presenters on TV/Radio (if not THE hardest working). I will have to record the Boat Pageant as I will be there and all the 0ther lovley extras will have to catch on i player. 'Ive not seen animal rescue either so will be a first for me. Must admit was surprised to see CF being filmed this week what with all the bodding off to France and all the Jubilee preperations ![]()

Hiya everyone - hope everyone is having a brilliant day!
Just seen the pic of Katie filming on the beach (Studland?) for a future CF prog. MB is also in Dorset, the weather is warm, so we could get a T-shirt or checky shirt....nice ![]() I can't believe that Matt is on so many programmes on Sunday! Matt TV indeed! I will miss quite a lot of it unfortunately but will try and record some and/or catch up on IPlayer etc. Not the same as seeing and hearing the man live and experiencing a thudtastic time along with everyone else. ![]() Such a shame that it seems that the drought will return on Sunday...Lotus you may indeed need the sou'westers and wellies as you view the pageant. Lovely to have you back on here by the way and glad you had a good time with your visitor ![]() Ah well, better go and deal with dinner, back later..... |

Very quiet here today! There's a rating for last nights show:
19:00 - The One Show: 3.85m (21%) Still going along really nicely - that's a great percentage share ![]() Have been out shopping most of the day with daughter-in-law who tried on everything and bought nothing. Exhausting! I'm going to have to catch up with everything Matt-related tomorrow. Just haven't got the energy left today. |

Afternoon all
Slumps in chair Phew - wipes fevered brow. Getting too old for all this rushing round. Visitor now gone (up at 3am to take to coach station) so now feel like a zzzzzzzzzz. Just catching up on posts- lots to catch up on. Firstly as for Twitter ![]() ![]() - perhaps we will have Twitter - the return someday. We will never know the real reason- can only speculate ut he is a really busy man these days. Perhaps time is a factor as much as anything.Last nights TOS sounds like One to Watch (like the man himself). and filming for CF in another so near and yet do far scenario for me .Wonder if Cass realises ![]() KK - brilliant idea - have you implemented it yet Emma - I will miss the lovely torchbearer in Durham by 1 DAY!! Am travelling there on 17th on holiday. Bad planning or what. Well am off to London on Sunday for the boat pageant bedecked in red/white and blue (will need a waterproof by the looks of it) ![]() Off out to dinner later - hope to be back You probably spot yourself on telly on Sunday! Good evening - really lovely picspam KK - thank you.
Matt looking incredibly handsome.... http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212802.png and here... http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at214118.png and I always love his profile looking slightly to the left... http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at214214.png Watched the OS tonight as I thought mention would be made of Sunday's coverage of the the river pageant. There was a little reference to it but neither CE nor AJ alluded to the fact that our man would be presenting the programme with Ms Raworth. I note MB is entitled 'Presenter' whilst AJ is entitled 'Participant'....oh dear..... ![]() AJ was in my paper today regarding the over-use of St Tr*pez and other tanning agents. She was pictured in the bright yellow dress she wore to the Glamour awards and much as I like Alex, she looked slightly too dazzling. ![]() Back to us mere mortals....hope you had a delicious meal in a swanky restaurant Lotus. Me....I bunged something in the oven from Sain*bury's. And Rita, what a pity your DIL didn't buy any clothes at all today. All that energy wasted on nothing. For myself, I would thoroughly relish a day's shopping (not had a day out for 8 weeks ) and would purchase just about anything for the sake of it!Up early tomorrow to buy heaps of strawberries for a Jubilee lunch so I will not return on here later! CCM, nighty night, the stars are in the skies.... xx |

Afternoon everyone ![]() BRrrrr, it's cold, jumper back on, what a difference from last weekend, sitting out in the garden enjoying the sun. Quote:
Moving on to the 1st May with guest Ricky Gervais (and an appearance from Michael Johnson) . We have VTs on the "uncanny valley" - that level of CGI animation that just feels creepy (Marty Jopson), Christian the lion - who was bought from Harrods in the 1960s (Gyles Brandreth), and the Boeing Dreamliner 787 (Matt Allwright).
Matt is wearing a blue shirt, navy buttoned jumper, and dark beige chinos Welcome to The One Show (with a revised entrance as Matt and Alex walk in to the studio) http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212115.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212252.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212313.png Introducing the uncanny valley VT http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212542.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212604.png Talking after that VT and Matt's issue with the animations was an inability to relate to the character as you know that they have no emotions http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212745.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212802.png Talking to Ricky about "The Ricky Gervais Show" and playing guess the laugh http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212928.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213003.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213103.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213130.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213329.png Before lion VT http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213501.png Before dreamliner VT http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213642.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213713.png After that talking to Michael Johnson about his sport psychology online experiment to find out what conditions inspire your best work. Moving on to the proper picspam from the 30th of April with guest Matt Le Blanc. We have VTs on idiotic "protestors" (against what I don't even think they really know) who want to disrupt the Olympics (Iwan Thomas), why some people can't watch 3D movies (Marty Jopson), the next week of the Falklands recap,
Matt is wearing a white shirt with pale blue details and rolled up sleeves, and jeans I think this one is my favourite: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at214403.png But I do like this one too: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at214437.png And this one's not bad: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at214612.png Neither is this one: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at214723.png Or this one: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at214754.png He looks like he's as fed up with the Falklands VTs as I am (have they exhausted WWII?): http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at215523.png Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful arms: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at215641.png And tantalizing glimpse of flesh through lower shirt buttons: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at215817.png Finishing up with perfect shoulders and a bit of knee as well ![]() http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...31at220034.png Much appreciated, thank you kk. |

Matt is wearing a blue shirt, navy buttoned jumper, and dark beige chinos It was a strange show, but then anything with Ricky Gervais is. He has a slight dampening effect on everything he touches I feel. I think he's a very clever man who doesn't quite hit the mark a lot of the time, and also who thinks a bit too much of himself. That comedy routine he was in stitches over wasn't funny at all to me. I thought it would not be out of place on a children's show but not for adults. Ah well. This one is nice: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212604.png I always like pics of Matt using his very creative hands: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212745.png http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212802.png Are the trousers checked? I'm sure I can see faint horizontal lines here: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at212928.png Lovely expression in this one: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213103.png Like the slight tongue-out in this one: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213329.png A serious renaissance shot. That's different. Usually he smiles for the renaissance pics: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213642.png I always like the head-back, quizzical expression: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at213713.png And what a beautiful smile: http://i1098.photobucket.com/albums/...01at214118.png Thank you kk. |

Evening all. Just posting about the Jubilee Pageant - Sophie Raworth has been posting pics of boats on twitter and it's already looking impressive. I suspect Matt's probably in London too as they will have to have had a run through today. If he is I hope his family are in London too for the weekend
![]() Just to clarify presenting - Huw Edwards is the BBC Royal Correspondent at the moment. He's the main presenter of the whole Jubilee weekend. So, whilst he's listed as a presenter on the pageant I suspect his role is more "introductory". When the pageant coverage was announced it was clearly stated that Matt and Sophie where the event presenters. With regards to Alex - she, along with half of the BBC - is doing commentary duty from various bits of the route. She's on a cooking boat with the Hairy Bikers. Clare Balding is on board the royal row barge Gloriana, there's comedians like Griff Rhys Jones on a boat for amusing asides (hopefully amusing anyway!), Jake Humphrey is there somewhere too. And so on...I would guess that they did tests with a whole bunch of different presenters for the main roles. I suspect they wanted one serious news type and one from light entertainment. Probably people like Jake, Alex, Sian Williams, Chris Hollins, etc... would have been considered. So we can be pleased that Matt clearly worked for them and works well with Sophie. But I suspect Alex won't be too upset at not having a main presenting gig for the jubilee - she's had a good couple of years. From nowhere to having a Monday to Friday primetime presenting job and 2 seasons of a well-rated Saturday night entertainment show (in "Let's Dance").

And we won't ask about the crawling on the floor, it's sure to be something that gave you even more work to do. ![]() Haven't got Sk*Plus or any other means of recording other than videos or recordable DVDs (and we haven't quite mastered our new piece of equipment yet ) so it's going to be a bit hit and miss as to what's actually recorded. Thank goodness for IPlayer and Ms KK!! Seen bits of the Beeb News about all the preparations for tomorrow. Daughters and extended family are at the Hyde Park event today so the excitement is building up over the weekend. Today turned out better weather-wise than was hoped so you never know about tomorrow, fingers crossed and all that.....Will probably tune in to The Vo*ce final - haven't felt terribly engaged with the whole concept so I'm a bit ho-hum about it. Unlike a certain final in December 2010....was it that long ago? That was the start of a long journey with the FBB. ![]() Hope everyone is having a great Saturday, birthday girls and bodding girls especially! ![]() Off to prepare the dinner, person of many talents, me (ahem) and will be back later.....but much later.... |

Matt’s TV programs on Sunday 3 June 2012
Hi all Just a reminder: Animal Rescue Squad (Channel 5 and Channel 5HD at 10am) Actually this program was first broadcasted in 2008 covering 2 series – 30 episodes in Series 1 and 10 episodes in Series 2 but tomorrow program is an hour long highlights show and to be repeated on Channel 5 plus 1 at 11am. If you miss it out you can still catch up again on 5 June at 11am (Channels remain the same). http://www.channel5.com/channels/cha...ate=2012-06-03 Useful link: http://www.tvthrong.co.uk/2008/01/co...-rescue-squad/ You all know the rest of his shows on Sunday but in case you need to check the programs. Live coverage of the Diamond Jubilee Thames Pageant on BBC 1 and BBC HD at 1.30pm http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01jmp4t In my view, the coverage lad by Matt and Sophie means they are going to join all the jigsaw pieces (done by other famous names) to show us viewers a whole picture of the Diamond Jubilee Thames Pageant. Matt said he liked to be on a boat but I think co-hosting the unprecedented coverage is the best suit for him because it is more challenging yet rewarding as well. As he is outgoing person, he might like to go out and steer a boat like he was on CF but if he does it would be less challenging for him to do his own piece of jigsaw. And KK is right; Huw and the other will join Matt and Sophie according to Matt’s website. Men's European Championship on BBC 2 and HD at 2.30pm http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01jrt6q Countryfile on BBC 1 and HD at 6.30pm http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b01jt6qx By the way, what a lovely voiceover that I heard from ‘She’s the One’ Diamond Jubilee advert, perfectly chosen by the BBC. ![]() Quote:

Hi all
Just a reminder: Animal Rescue Squad (Channel 5 and Channel 5HD at 10am) Actually this program was first broadcasted in 2008 covering 2 series – 30 episodes in Series 1 and 10 episodes in Series 2 but tomorrow program is an hour long highlights show and to be repeated on Channel 5 plus 1 at 11am. ![]() Lotus, lucky you because you have been the places Countryfile has visited. To me, Studland rather sounds Thudland if Matt was filming there. ![]() Have a lovely Super Mattful Sunday tomorrow everyone! ![]() Night all! Morning all, and thanks Emma for for posting this handy planner.

Evening all.
What a shame about the rain and bad weather, halfway through of the river pageant, it was awful, everyone looking very wet and bedraggled. Matt looked fab in his grey suit, he did well in the studio, got in a few puns. but the lighting was terrible in the studio for most of it, as he was either half in the shade or in full glare of the studio light, plus the problems they seemed to have going to and coming back from links, with the rain getting into everything, lost links to the boats a few times, and ended back in the studio when they were not expecting it, so it didn't go very smoothly, nice seeing all the boats going down the river, the commentator did seem at a lost as to what to say sometimes, but it was enjoyable.lotus hope you had a good day didn't get too wet. Cf was great, matt looked good in his fleecey jacket, nice stubble, lovely and bouncy, bodding around the countyside, eating scones and playing on trains, and hedge trimming. fabulousAdams highland calf are really cute, they have names now. |

All times are GMT. The time now is 07:17.

I didn’t get the chance to see 6.30pm one-hour-non-Friday show last year when Matt and Alex came back from their holiday as cos if my local news (East Midlands) took over first half-an-hour.

Hope you have a lovely jubbly jubilee lunch
