I don't know what to expect. It looks like another 10 mins show clips coming at.11.10am tomorrow, It was on Sunday at 10am so it seems 30 mins all together. Does Ch 5 broadcast short programs during the daytime because of mainly transmitting kids programs?

Morning all
Quick bod in just to say loved T1S last night - the singalong with SW was a classic. Looked relaxed after the trauma of the day before

Was a bit underwhelmed by the concert TBH but Pyrotechics and the images on the Palace were awesome

As the bank holiday got in the way the next appearance of Matt was the One Show from the 8th of May with guest Brendan Coyle (from Downton Abbey - on to promote his new show Starlings) . We have VTs on the live export of farm animals (Simon Boseman), a gigantic frozen food storage facility (Marty Jopson), a couple who run a B&B whose garden is being damaged by nightime animal visits (Mike Dilger), and the weekly Falklands War update.

A fabulous Bank Holiday bonanza of our Matt!

Haven't caught up with yesterday's OS yet...caught a glimpse of the screen and our man looked delightful, tiggery and so enthusiastic as he met the megastars. And saw a nano second of him singing with Stevie...how cool was that.

Very busy at the moment with family commitments but hope to catch tonight's One Show live; it will be good to get back to 'normal' from tomorrow......

Back to normal on The One Show with Matt wearing his lovely pink shirt and a regular guest. There's no fuss on twitter or here on DS about the show. The thread in the main UK forum here is just being continued by a couple of people who are always negative about the BBC

Jeremy Vine is a great example of keeping your head down and getting on with it at the BBC - he spent years on Newsnight being treated as a second class citizen thanks to Paxman. From the details in his book it looked like Paxman felt insecure about his position when Vine joined the show. Then Jeremy Vine took over Jimmy Young's radio show and got "the new boy" treatment again. But he worked through it without complaint and has come out well

A good tos, Jeremy was a nice guest, shame as it was a shorter show they were not able to chat to him more.

Doctors and dentists today so not a happy end to the Jubilee celebrations.

Glad to hear things are better with your father Cass. And I hope that he will be discharged today and you can get him settled back in his own home.

Need to catch up with the One Shows especially Monday's...just not enough hours in the day (or night!)

Re BBC coverage of the Jubilee, I see most presenters are getting some stick so it's across the board. Think we've examined all the aspects so we will put it to bed......:sleep:

Still pretty in pink I see. Difficult for me to choose favourites. For me the jumper and his face all seem to blend into one, colourwise, so I don't really see the expressions. Like the trews though. Helloooo! Am I alone?

Been a bit absent due to being a tennis fiend as well as a Matt fiend.

Thought Matt looked super super gorgeous tonight. Good show. Kelly was lovely guest. I used to love American Idol but had to stop watching this year as the judges they now have were driving me crazy, plus there wasn't anyone I really liked amongst the contestants. Or maybe I'm just suffering from reality show overload.

Anyway, nice to see our lovely Matt looking so good. I do believe there's a hint of returning stubble there. Someone mentioned that The One Show is not on during the football so maybe he'll finally get a vacation, sad though that will be for us. He really has been overdoing it lately, not just with the amount of shows he's been doing but the diversity of subjects. Having to switch from TOS to CountryFile, to gymnastics, to the Jubilee celebrations, and soon the Olympics. I can't think of any other presenter capable of covering so many different fields with their completely different mind sets required. Hope he has a well-earned break after this week before Olympic madness starts.

Glad you are well. I used to enjoy American Idol as well but no longer watch it. Kelly was a sweet guest. I really enjoyed Jeremy Vine last night as well.
Day after tomorrow I am looking after a little dog - Pepper. She belongs to a member of my class at school. They live 4 houses down the street from me. Dont know what Barn will say. He usually stays on the high furniture or spends a great deal of time up his cat tree. Pepper is a Cockerpoo - about 1 year old so full of bounce.

A very good tos tonight, kelly was a lovely guest, seemed a bit bemused about tos and the ramdom changes of topics, chatty about it all.

Matt looked lovely tonight, nice shirt with unbuttonage and trews, lots of leg crossing and knee hugging, and the camera person was being very nice to us and gave us some nice close ups. a very happy bouncy matt tonight.

Yes no tos after tomorrow, got best of tos, instead when there is no football on, the final is on 1st july, so hopefully matt will get some well earned time off and some R&R.

Kelly is a lovely guest tonight. I found VTs rather interesting. I am not sure I like the denim shirt though Matt's always gorgeous and cheerful.

They are asking the viewers to norminate the OS 999 award. By the way, does anyone know when the 999 Awards due to be aired, I mean the awarding ceremony?

I forgot to mention that I really loved the animited the One Show opening credit and the outdoor settings on the Pre-Jubilee Concert Special so well done to the OS team. Matt managed to mention Elton's socks made me smile.

We will all feel the emptiness on the Mattless days but he will have some quality time with his young family. He does need some rest which he truly deserves as he has been on overtime since the NFYFC AGM weekend until now, he hasn't got a proper day off yet, as we all know. He is really over-working weekdays and weekends, even machines need downtime; he certainly needs a peaceful break. I remember he once said he stops working only when Mrs B told him to stop, otherwise he doesn’t know when to stop and he'd keep working until he collapses.

Oh hello! Nice to see you on here. I read your post on the Matt thread out in Mordor but didn't realize it was you (Mordor is what we call the rest of DS outside of this cosy home of ours - a legacy from the days of SCD when things got pretty nasty out there are times). I was going to reply to it, but there were no more posts at the time and I thought it better to let the thread die down rather than reawaken it. You must tweet us a photo of Pepper and Barn together. NFYFC - that's something I'd forgotten about. That makes what, six things Matt's trying to do at the same time? And we thought his SCD days were hectic, when he only had to cope with the occasional TOS, CountryFile, hard training, blizzards, snowstorms and cancelled flights - oh, and the judges of course!

If I am not wrong, the NFYFC AGM weekend was a week before the Euro Gym Women's Team & Individuals Final and then the Euro Gym Men's Team & the Individuals Final weekend was in the following weekend, and finally the Jubilee weekend. I bet those the BBC team who got involved in the Jubilee coverage have had much time to prepare and digest the subject and even personally went out and spent some time there comparing to him. But he is a quick learner and can learn all most everything in a nanosecond apart from mastering the coracle as per Julia B.

Quick bod in as have been a very busy B*****e ov er the jubilee and caught a nasty chill after the boat pageant on Sunday and our arrangements for Tuesday went pear shaped after the appalling weather here.

Have recorded the pageant but not watched yet so will reserve judgment. Beeb admitted today that they had got the tone wrong. Loved the T1S Bus at the concert and the lovely singalong with SW - a T1S classic moment

Loved tonights prog as well . He and AJ seem to really to understand the randomness of the prog and really engage the guests for the most part. Larry Lamb is a good member of the team The disabled musicians was a lovely item and the pianist at the end brought yet another tear to my eye.

Anyway have lots of posts to catch up on and another busy weekend in store
