The Babadook is now on US.

I liked it alot, quite creepy.
Weird film, what was with the lack of a colour palette, it was all grey and black, all the photos and pictures were B/W, the women at the girls party were dressed like a funeral.

The Tunnel on netflix australia. UK/French remake of brilliant Danish/Swedish "The Bridge". Not as good as I think it misses a lot of the humour - where it tries to be funny it is cliche ridden. Story is same, and of course mostly english soundtrack instead of having to rely on subtitles .

Year the Bridge (original) was brilliant, and I enjoyed both seasons.

What came across really interestingly in the Bridge was that the Swedish cop was speaking Swedish, and the Danish speaking Danish. This didn't come across in the subtitles, but it could be heard as they spoke to each other, and every now and again, you could see one didn't quite understand everything the other said.

This was completely lost though when it aired here in Germany, as they just dub everything into their own language. So, as well as the horrible lip sync problem, and the loss of any Danish or Swedish character to the story, it also had them both speaking the same language together which made it odd when they didn't quite understand each other.

This is why subtitles are so much better than dubbing.

I'm thinking of subscribing to Unblock-us. Are movies from areas like Denmark or Mexico in English or are they dubbed in a foreign language?

Most are in English with Mexican or relivant countries subtitles, unblockus has a feature that can turn the subtitles off.

Just watched the first three episodes of Daredevil and the first episode of Between and enjoyed them so I think these shows are worth a look if you are into any of their genres.
